Riley is from Ankeny, Iowa. Played high school football at Ankeny Centennial, and was one of those guys who Iowa finds and takes a chance on that other Division 1 programs seem to miss. He excelled at both football and track in high school, and his speed was something the Hawks thought they could work with, and they were right. He talks about his unexpected early playing time, and what his actual goals were in year 1 as a Hawkeye, and how playing as a young guy was met with mixed feelings from his peers. We discuss Coach Parker and the dough boyz and why they are so special, Riley's most memorable ass chewing during a game, and what it was like playing on arguably the best Defense in the country. We talk life current day and what the NFL combine was like, how his Pro Day went, and how he blocks out the noise and doubt of being a white Corner in the NFL. He talks about his favorite moments in kinnick, 2 house Calls in a single game vs Indiana, living in the walkons old Benton house, and a lot more!

Kevin got called in to work, but the boys are all back from vacation, and a lot has happened since we last sat down to record an episode. Selection Sunday, and the beginning of March Madness has come and gone. We talk about Where Iowa Mens and Women's basketball got placed in the bracket, the state of Iowa representing hard getting into the Big Dance, and the subsequent disappointing first round for 5/6 teams. The Iowa Women dominated the opening round, and we marvel over their ability to put people in the arenas with how entertaining they are. The UI Licensing department is back at it again trying to crush our dreams of selling awesome merchandise, and the NCAA Wrestling Championships also took place over the weekend. The shocker, seemingly untouchable Spencer Lee, one of the most decorated wrestlers in the history of the sport, gets PINNED in the semifinal. We talk about how it demonstrates that anyone can get caught, even the greats fall and have to deal with hardship, and discuss the viral reaction from Spencer's mom.
