Washed Up Walkons

The Hawks make it 3 in a row. The Boys breakdown the game against the Badgers from this weekend and Iowa Football's improbably return to relevance in the West Division race to Indianapolis. We discuss the real possibility of seeing the Black and Gold back in Lucas Oil Stadium, why the Hawks have been able to put together 3 in a row, the reasons why Iowa saw a return of struggle at the O-line position, how crazy this Defense and Sp Teams continues to be, and a whole lot more. Discussion about Cooper Dejean doing everything for the Hawks and who we think he reminds us of, the single play break down that allowed Wisconsin back in the game before half, turnovers being a major factor as always, and how the Hawks were able to find success when they needed it late to kill clock and ice the game. We also recap the Tool box game where the managers brought home the rusty toolbox in a dominating 37-6 victory, and getting to meet and greet with listeners and fans of the show.

The Hawks found life, and put out their best offensive performance of the year in a 33-13 victory of the Wildcats. How much of this weekend's success was due to progress from the O vs the Northwestern team being bad at football? How much has this Offense truly struggled because of the lack of time to throw the ball? Will this momentum keep building this week vs Purdue? Many new questions to ponder as the Hawks go to 4-4. We recap the weekend bets, and an all new Walkon Top 5, Halloween Candy.

The guys discuss the 54-10 loss from the weekend. Thoughts on how well the Defense actually played despite the OSU score being so high. Discussion about Padilla being brought in at half, if we think he got a fair shot, and how that position battle should be handled moving forward. Thoughts on the some outside ideas about the locker room being split, and players having bad blood with each other. What we saw with the special teams that was unlike the standard Iowa usually produces, and why Tory Taylor took off on that punt. And some discussion to finish the episode on the state of the fanbase, being careful what we wish for on the outside, and trying to see all perspectives. We of course recap our betting picks of the weekend as well.
