To kick off Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Diane came onto the show to share her harrowing experience of domestic violence and how she's been able to heal from it. Y'all know I hold a very special place in my heart for all of my 💜Survivor Sisters💜out there who have gone through similar situations I've dealt with.
1 in 3 women will be a victim of domestic violence in their lifetime. In order to end the cycle, we need to also end the stigma that keeps survivors from speaking up and reaching out for help. Hearing stories of others helps shine a light on how abuse begins, why partners stay, and what can be done to reduce domestic violence. Some survivors even manage to move beyond their painful experiences to find healing, like Diane.

Did you know that financial trauma is the reality for about ⅓ of millennials? Yet, we tend to associate the word "trauma" with a very specific set of circumstances, often the most drastic we can think of, which then leads to people not recognizing trauma when they have it, as the result of events they maybe wouldn't have guessed. Talk about a mind-f*ck, right?
Lots of people have intense stress, paranoia, expectations, fears and concepts about money and finances. Money can mean security, safety, status, or power. It can also be interpreted as worthiness. There are so many unconscious ideas embedded in our relationship to money, that it only makes sense that financial trauma is common, yet such a taboo topic that nobody wants to talk about.
Millennials are disproportionately affected by financial trauma, for a multitude of reasons. Although there isn't anything we can do to change the past, learning what's causing constant money stress can help to break the cycle. Tune in this week as Cat shares her own personal experiences on how she was able to overcome her money traumas & dishes out some advice on how you can do the same.

On June 24, 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled to overturn Roe v. Wade in a 6-3 vote. The ruling eliminates the constitutional right to an abortion after almost 50 years. States are now free to restrict or ban abortions. About ½ of all US States are expected to ban or further restrict access to abortion.
Not only does this takeaway our reproductive freedoms, it sets the dangerous precedent that from the moment of fertilization, we cannot choose. A state can force a person to carry a pregnancy to term, even at the greatest of personal, medical & familial costs.
This week's episode features a panel of women I've met as we share our personal experiences with having an abortion(s). It is a heavy episode & can be triggering to hear, however it is shining a light on a very taboo topic that many don't have the courage to speak on, yet happens more often than we think.
Abortion happens every day. Millions of people around the world have an abortion each year. But the majority of those people will never talk about their abortion experience.
