You read correctly, we’re stepping away from our usual horror schedule to bring you some good feeling, fun loving, holiday films. On today’s episode we talk about the new Hulu original; Happiest Season. Happiest Season follows the formula of most holiday films, but has a unique twist on it, being that it centers around a gay couple. Oddly enough, having a gay couple be the center of a holiday film is still something that you don’t see too often. We also dive deep into the representation that this film gives to the LGBTQ+ community, how a lot of these stories may be unheard of because of the subject matter, and how diversity in the writing/directing/acting chair gives a brand new perspective apart from the regular ol’ straight male view on movies.

On today’s episode we do the iconic sci-fi horror film, The Thing. The movie is weirdly relevant in today’s time with the current pandemic and the success of Among Us. The Thing is arguably the inspiration for Among Us, stuck in a closed area, trying to find “the thing” or the imposter within the group before everyone dies. Not to mention that The Thing has to do with being infected by a single cell similar to the current pandemic situation. Join us as we talk about this insanely dense movie, our favorite parts, and the theories we subscribe to for the ending.

The Autopsy of Jane Doe was a horror movie that was released in 2016, being a smaller release and being the shadow of another new Star Wars movie, The Autopsy of Jane Doe is an under the radar horror film that is recently getting the press it deserves. The Autopsy of Jane Doe is a wild thrill ride that intrigues the viewer with questions and mystery to keep anyone intrigued. On today’s episode we talk about the untold classic, The Prince of Egypt. Dreamworks second film ever, this animated film seems to be swept under the rug regardless of its fantastic soundtrack, animation, and story. We bring on Sophia Fregoso to talk about this movie with us. We talk about how the factor of religion within this film may have turned people away, viewing this movie through the lens of a child and an adult, and why this movie didn’t have the same impact as most Disney animated films.
