Watching the Birds

Trying not to lose is not a winning formula coach! Many thoughts about what we saw yesterday against the Cowboys, and a quick mini-rant about Jeff McLane's reporting from Friday the possible Hurts/Coaching staff rift that appears to be a freaking river of disagreement at this point.

I'm done trying to fix this offense and I am just going to enjoy this Buddy Ball offense that Nick is trotting out there. Jalen Hurts has never asked for a conservative offense, just a good running game.

My thoughts on the DGunn report and more!

An ESPN article about the Lions replacing their OC John Morton, with Lions HC Dan Campbell, got me thinking about why it would be so hard to do that here. Kevin Patullo isn't going anywhere, he's just not quite ready yet.

PLUS: I love Vic vs Goff in an Eagles win at home.

So Jaire retires, and AJ decided to REMIND EVERYONE AGAIN that he is not happy with the passing offense. I don't think anyone is acting out of line questioning this team or feeling optimistic about they will be able to figure this offense out by the playoffs. I do have an issue with someone telling us that we aren't appreciating this season enough when we see a relationship deteriorating out in the open.

This is uniquely a 2025 issue that may have carried over from 2022, but the comparisons to '23 or '24 don't make sense to me anymore.

I don't know what to tell you about the offense, but I do know that having faith in Howie Roseman's draft picks is paying off a ton for the defense. UGLY BUT GOOD! I'll take the win in Green Bay. But it is okay to still thinking about changing the play caller if Dan Campbell just did it.

Could we see Mukuba at the nickel LB spot on 3rd and longs? I think so! And we finally might see what Vic saw in training camp which is putting Cooper DeJean at safety at some point.

PLUS, I rant against Matt LaFluer and the Packers cause I really just can't stand them and just for the attempted Tush Push ban.

Our good friend Stan from the Discord joins us this week! We get into all of the trades, what the heck the Eagles are going to do with Jihaad Campbell now, AND laugh at the entire division for doing exactly what we thought it would do.

All of that and more as we eye up the Packers on Monday Night Football.

RECORDED ON MONDAY! (sorry for the delay). Maybe this team isn't as good with AJ Brown, or Saquon, or Smitty. But if Sunday showed us anything, as long as Jalen Hurts is here you are going to win.

I know there is a lot of issues right now, but i think most of them might end up being solved by just getting a win and getting to the bye week. This week with Jakorian Bennett back and probably starting, I am just here to remind you why I think it's good for Cooper DeJean to be ready to play CB2. Injuries or matchup, it's time for him to cover WR2 all of the time.

Birds get a win 24-17!

Jalen, AJ, and DeVonta is the offensive trio that runs this Eagles offense right now. Don't turn away from them!
