Federal safety regulators are investigating Waymo after one of the company’s autonomous vehicles struck a child near an elementary school in Santa Monica last week. The collision happened Friday morning within two blocks of Grant Elementary School on Pearl Street during student drop-off hours, according to Waymo and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Fifty-seven House Republicans sided with most Democrats Thursday in a vote to keep the Biden-era “kill switch” rule, which shot down Kentucky Republican Rep.
