No full show this week, but we did find time to catch up with the former FA chief executive Mark Palios, who (alongside his wife Nicola) has taken over at League Two side Tranmere Rovers after acquiring a controlling interest in the club.
Listen to David Cameron Walker quiz him on his decision to takeover, Tranmere's prospects for the season ahead and the FA's controversial B-Team proposals, as outlined earlier this year.
We'll be back properly on Wednesday next week with our special show recorded LIVE at Kenilworth Road

With just over 24 hours to go until the Sky Bet Football League is back (yesssss), the boys return with a bumper preview of the new Championship season.
Millwall managed to escape relegation back in May, despite a season of struggle at the New Den. This year, things are looking a lot more promising as Ian Holloway prepares for his first full season in charge.
Mark went down to the club's press day on Tuesday this week and managed to grab a word with both Holloway and club legend Alan Dunne, who has made over 300 appearances for the Lions. You'll hear both interviews in this preview.
Also, staying in London, excitement is building as Brentford prepare to entertain Charlton on Saturday in their first second tier fixture...

In the second of our special pre season previews, we pick through the various teams, managers and new signings hoping to make their mark in Sky Bet League One this season.
Sheffield United kick off the new campaign with a lunchtime kick off against Bristol City at Bramall Lane this Saturday. We ask if Nigel Clough can build on their superb second half of last season, despite the loss of star defender Harry Maguire over the summer.
James Shield, Sheffield United correspondent and football writer for The Star in Sheffield, is on the line to discuss their prospects.
Elsewhere, Coventry City face another difficult season away from the Ricoh Arena. They defeated Watford 1-0 in a friendly at Borehamwood last week,...

We're back! There's a slightly new format for the podcast this season, but we're still kicking it off with three big preview shows marking the return of the Sky Bet Football League this weekend.
In our League Two preview, David Connolly - a man who has scored in every division in England and played in a World Cup internationally for the Republic of Ireland, joins us on the phone.
David is back at Portsmouth after a loan spell at Oxford last season, and he joins us to assess the front runners for promotion this year, including Pompey under Andy Awford.
Also joining us to discuss the season ahead are Lloyd Langman from

It's all over for another year. Thanks for downloading and supporting the show this season - it's been our best yet! Also, a big thank you to the hundreds of journalists, fans, players and managers who have joined us over the last nine months.
In our final show of 2013/14, the boys reflect on an incredible climax to the Championship play-off final at Wembley on Saturday. Despite been severely under the cosh and down to ten men, Queens Park Rangers were promoted to the Premier League following one late swing of Bobby Zamora's sweet left foot. They beat Derby 1-0, consigning the Rams to another year in the second tier. We catch up again with Charlie Ashcroft from the Open All R's podcast, to hear all about the celebrations, plus...

Ninety minutes of football left to define your season. Promotion on the line. The home of football waiting. In our penultimate show of 2013/2014, the boys look forward to all three play-off finals.
After focusing on Derby vs QPR last week, this week we turn our primary focus to the big clashes in Leagues One and Two. Rotherham and Leyton Orient both sealed their spots in the League One final after impressive second leg displays against Preston and Peterborough respectively. We preview Sunday's big game with Dom Howson from The Sheffield Star - and Andy Brown, Leyton Orient blogger for our website

Oscar Garcia has resigned as Brighton manager following the Seagulls' 6-2 aggregate defeat to Derby in the Championship play-off semi-finals. It was their second semi-final exit in two seasons and leaves chairman Tony Bloom now looking for a third manager in just over twelve months. We find out more from Alan Wares, co-host of 'The Albion Roar' podcast, which you can download on iTunes, or listen to Saturdays at 12pm on Radio Reverb, 97.2FM in Brighton.
Derby progress to Wembley on May 24th, where Steve McClaren will come face-to-face with the man who gave him another chance in English football, Harry Redknapp. Redknapp will lead QPR...

Following the controversial announcement of the FA Commission's four-point plan to boost English football, the boys return with a #SayNoToLeague3 special.

Our guests include Brentford manager Mark Warburton, Luton Town chief executive Gary Sweet, talkSPORT 'Up The League' host Geoff Peters, Ian Danter, talkSPORT commentator and England reporter - plus Rob Langham from the Football League blog

The last day of the season NEVER disappoints. We should know that by now. The boys are back to dissect a final afternoon packed full of late goals, drama and tension.
Just a year after they were promoted from League One thanks to an injury-time goal, Doncaster Rovers have been relegated back to the third tier by an injury time goal. It was scored by Paul Caddis for Birmingham City at the Reebok Stadium, which earned the Blues a 2-2 draw at Bolton and kept them in the Championship at Donny's expense on goal difference. We speak to Liam Hoden, sports reporter at the Doncaster Free Press and South Yorkshire Times, about what relegation means for Rovers and their boss Paul Dickov.

It all comes down to this. The final week of the season has arrived, with twelve Football League clubs still scrapping for their lives and hoping to avoid the dreaded drop. Four will go down, but the question is - which four? We analyse the state of play at the bottom of all three divisions with some special guests.
Birmingham City slipped into the Championship relegation zone following a 3-1 loss to Leeds at St Andrews on Saturday. The Blues now need at least a point from their remaining two games against Wigan and Bolton, or they will be playing in the third tier next season for the first time since 94/95. We discuss their disastrous home form and the string of problems facing Lee Clark with Daniel Ivery, author of Birmingham City blog 'Often Partisan' and a new book called 'Haircuts and League Cups: The Rise and Fall of Carson Yeung'.
In League One, Notts County have won six of their last eight games and now need just a point against Oldham at Boundary Park on Saturday to confirm their survival. We get the verdict on Shaun Derry and their incredible turnaround from Stuart Brothers, editor of Notts County's 'Black and White Fanzine'.
Bristol Rovers also need just a point to survive at the weekend. The Pirates go into their game against Mansfield in League Two off the back of a crucial 2-1 win at Adams Park against increasingly beleaguered Wycombe. Stephen Collins, Bristol Rovers season ticket holder for over twenty years, discusses Darrell Clarke, the club's future and the critical importance of staying in the Football League this Saturday.
Elsewhere, we congratulate Chesterfield, Scunthorpe and Rochdale on promotion - although DC has some issues with Keith Hill's colourful attire, whilst it's the end of the road for Barnsley, Shrewsbury and Torquay, all of whom were relegated on Saturday. There's also the career of super Kevin Phillips and the PFA Teams Of The Year to discuss, plus we ask - who will clinch those final two Championship play-off spots? All that plus Jack Critchley tells us more about his club Blackpool…
