We return to our anime roots with this week's Rick's Pick, the first three episodes of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin (2015). A lot less "Wow! Cool robot!" than expected, we talk about how cool (?) Char is, Crunchyroll's shoutout-worthiness, and the Glup Shitto phenomenon. Also, I'm calling it now, this is going to be one of our lowest-ranked episodes because of this massacre of an episode title, lol, RIP SEO.

We are horrorpilled jumpscaremaxxing mommycels on this week's Lane's Frame, Hereditary (2018) directed by Ari Aster. This episode has been edited to smithereens and I don't even know what to put in the caption. I never wanted to be your mother?

This week's Lane's Frame, Sicario (2015) directed by Denis Villeneuve, totally DOGWALKS our previous movie from the same director. We get into depiction of violence in movies (again) and how many bags of popcorn Ricky hallucinated us eating together one time. Lotta truck sounds on my audio in the background this episode, balanced out with the pleasant sounds of birds chirping from Ricky's audio track, so it's a wash.

I can't believe I didn't think of making a "Sic-mario" joke while we were recording this so I included a little ""Easter egg """ for the REAL watchers at the end of this episode.

A beautiful, melancholic movie, we're mostly *Drake voice** in our feelings about our relationships with our moms, what it means to be home, and how they just don't make silk-lined houndstooth beige tweed shackets like they used to. With nothing but a blueberry Truly and a dream, we hoot and holler over this week's cursed Lane's Frame, Beyond the Sea (2004) directed AND starring [the actor who played Hopper in A Bug's Life]. We get into that actor's career, the terrible decisions made in this movie, and what makes a bad biopic. Plus: can Ricky say "faggot"?

Rick's Pick this week is The Devil Wears Prada (VERY 2006) directed by David Frankel. We get into this movie's incredible performances, early 2000s beauty standards, and nightmare assistant jobs. Digressions include grey hair, dick inches, and face blindness. Also, there is a reveal about Ricky that is SO nonsensical and incongruous with everything we know about him that it will shake you to your core. That's all.

Flop! Lane's regretful Frame this week is Animal House (1978) directed by [this tweet may violate rules against hateful conduct.]. We talk about frat culture, gross-out humor, and hooking up in cars with other people nearby. The gain on Ricky's mic is all fucked up in this episode. Who wants to take bets on how quickly he gets to the Todd episodes of Breaking Bad? I give it 10 days.
