This week is a Rick's Pick, and boy, was it ever! We watched Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) directed by Robert Zemeckis, a movie that Ricky had somehow never seen. This episode is replete with antics, shenanigans, and sound effects - but only to complement the movie, of course.

This week's Lane's Frame is Silkwood (1983) directed by Mike Nichols. It's a bit of a bummer episode, but we keep it fun and fancy free with diversions about Kurt Russell, forgotten Oscar movies, and our beloved Nintendo.

We finally get back around to this week's Rick's Pick, Barry Lyndon (1975) directed by Stanley Kubrick. To nobody's surprise, it doesn't compare favorably to Amadeus, but we still have a good time discussing its merits, including its painting-like shots, hilarious irony, and its timeless thematic elements. We talk about this sensuous, sumptuous film's mastery of tone, humor, and emotion. This week's Rick's Pick is The Hourglass Sanatorium (1974) directed by Wojciech Jerzy Has, a psychological horror-drama that left us creeped out and moved in a great way.
