Lia and Jerrica bring on a guest reviewer who had many things to say about this weeks book The Mark of the Raven. Guest was none other than pod baby Raven Fae who spoke in Phoenix Dragon language- so brush up on it to understand her thoughts. Aside from our peeping bird, we enjoyed this weeks book even though Lia found continuity issues and Jerrica remembers her disconnection to third person narration. Lia and Jerrica are still in their post-Grace coma and compare the audiobook narrators, while giving their predictions of the Ravenwood series book two and three. We predict love. Listen is to find out more!

This week Jerrica is back and she brings a little bird with her! After finally finishing Court by Tracy Wolff, Lia questions why they were so excited about it in the first place. They have strong opinions about the main character and the narrator, as well as some other editing choices made by the team. If you contradict yourself enough does that make it a continuity error? We think so! Happy to leave this monster of a book behind and enter the world of the Raven for next week. Listen in to hear more!

This week Lia invites guest host Anita Van Der Merwe to talk all about Holly Black’s The Coldest Girl In Coldtown. Lia gets a bit overexcited and fangirls out completely requesting that Holly sends her her grocery lists to read for 5 star reviews. This is Anita’s first taste of Holly Black and she is not disappointed. They break the book down and gushes over the romance and the raven feather hair of Gavriel.

Lia has to host by herself as Jerrica takes a break to bring the first (and hopefully last) pod baby into this world. Welcome baby Raven.
Birthing babies puts a damper on reading time and we give ourselves another week or two to finish Tracy Wolff’s Court, which is a brick of a book at 24 hours of audio.
Next week Lia will host with guest Anita to talk all about Holly Black’s The Coldest Girl in Coldtown. Tune in then,

Pleasantly by accident Lia and Jerrica read yet another debut novel, this time a fantasy they’ve been wanting to read for a while Serpent and Dove by Shelby Mahurin. And it did not disappoint! In fact Jerrica’s jaw drops at the sight of Lia’s rating. A powerful debut with rich characters and never a dull moment. Oh and section education by a female! Enough swooning- just listen in and hear us do it!

This week Lia and Jerrica read yet another debut novel! And this time it’s funny and not a sad kind of funny as the years books have started out. No crying in this one either! We are upping the mood for February 2022. Possibly controversially they wonder what a virgin author’s section scenes would be like, and it prompts them to “go on the hunt” for one. Maybe not their finest moment but to them it sure would be entertaining. Join in on the laughs for The Demon, the Hero and the City of Seven. Happy listening!

This week Jerrica and Lia have a blast reading Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. They discuss and agree the best gift ever is now leftover vodka and sliced purse cheese. They do something they’ve never done before- try not to immediately spoil it for you, and instead tell you to go away, read, and come back so we can laugh and gasp and giggle together. Can you spot the twist as Jerrica did, or get pleasantly surprised like Lia? Listen in to find out more of this debut masterpiece. Ps we vote “yes” to cat high chairs in pubs.

This week the girls are at it again, and by 'it' they mean books about dying. Sounds morbid and yes, sometimes it was, but the book of the week Firekeeper's Daughter was epic nonetheless. And the Obamas production company picked up the book for a miniseries - if that alone doesn't want to make you read the book, we don't know what will! Jerrica and Lia give you some silver lining hope that next week's book will be at least more humorous!
Listen in and follow along for next week's Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. Spoiler-she is not.

New Year-new you, or in Jerrica's case, an extra you, as her little one will arrive shortly. The girls find the silver lining in 2022, and the answer is books...and TLC! The pod revamps with more structure and organization, starting with Under the Whispering Door by T.J Klune. Lia finds a deep connection to the message of the book, and the characters' learned lessons. Jerrica waits patiently for the fantasy element, but enjoys the ride despite her category skepticism. They conclude with suggesting everyone in the world read this book, and buy many many tissues before hand. Happy reading listeners!!

It’s the end of the year! Lia and Jerrica are ready to give you all of their reviews of the best, worst, sexiest, and yuckiest. They decide on favorite covers and give honorable mentions to those that impressed them the most this year. They list their most anticipated books of 2022 and rant a little on how long is too long. Listen in and we’ll be back next year!
