This week Lia and Jerrica prove that nothing can stop them from reading- and podcasting about their reading! Though it was a bit of a slump week as they disagree about the current book, Jerrica realizes the series she is side binge-reading has another installment not yet released, and Lia doesn’t feel the inspiration from her books to the point of prioritizing tv and family time. We still have a high note and that is the official Marin Ireland fan club- narrator extraordinaire! Listen in and hear what we loved and hated this week!

In this episode our book of the week takes us back to the 1920s where booze is called giggle water and a modern name is Dorothy, oh, and monsters of all kinds exist!
In other reading, Jerrica and Lia had a sick week and read- a lot. Jerrica’s choices were questionable as usual. And after starting the newest book of the week, Nothing to See Here by Kevin Wilson, Lia fangirled the narrator Marin Ireland and is in audiobook heaven. Welcome to a novel where kids sporadically burst into flames!!! Can’t wait to continue- happy reading listeners!!

This week is all about traitors! Jerrica’s mom is a traitor because she doesn’t like her baby name choices, Lia’s college romance novels are all traitors because they have no love hexagons in them, and the book of the week The Traitor Prince has one big traitor with very bad plan. They discuss their difference in opinions for this book, Jerrica coming to the conclusion that the way most of us live life with rosy colored glasses, Lia lives with continuity lenses. Jerrica gets to choose the next book of the week, a debut novel about monsters and mobsters. Cue Lia’s eye roll. No! But wait! She likes it! She really likes it! We predict the rest of the book Roaring by Lindsey Duga and leave you at the question: Dragon or Phoenix? Happy reading and listening!

This week Jerrica and Lia are loopy, sleepy, giggly, and let basic math escape them. Jerrica blames pregnancy brain and Lia has the fact she’s a natural blonde to lean on, nevertheless it makes this episode interesting! They get deep into the feels while reviewing The Last Time We Say Goodbye by Cynthia Hand. Then Jerrica gets ahead of the reading schedule and is antsy to discuss the next book of the week The Traitor Prince by C.J Redwine. Happy reading and listening!Listen in and follow us for more hilarious book related posts on Twitter and Instagram.

We have found a winner of the “don’t judge a book by it’s cover” awards! Our book of the week, The Bridge Kingdom by Danielle L. Jensen was not a book we’d pick up based on the cover alone and now you get to listen to us swoon over how much we love. d it. Lesson learned, authors, lesson learned.
In other news, it’s suicide prevention awareness month and choosing to prioritize this, we’ve gone off brand and into a more serious tone with The Last Time We Say Goodbye by Cynthia Hand. We review the first three and predict the plot, while Jerrica reluctantly accepts the impossibility of a love triangle. Happy reading listeners!

Today hockey sticks, puck bunnies and players are discussed in this weeks book Rookie by Samantha Whiskey. While the characters decision making make us wonder about their mental health, we wonder also about ours. Lia confirms her rising level of stardom by sharing her road to choosing a therapist. In Jerrica’s world, therapy equals fame. And she’s not that far off as the app for therapists is a top notch one ☝️ it’s the adult version of tinder. Netflix and chill not included. After our ranting about Whiskey’s overindulgent writing about whiskey, we reveal the next book The Bridge Kingdom by Danielle L. Jensen, judge the cover and predict the plot. Happy reading adults!

This week Lia and Jerrica swoon over the fantastical world of Heartless by Melissa Meyer and it’s fantastic narration! Never has a long book felt so quick for both of them. Loved! In other reading, Jerrica shares how bravely bold her favorite author is in her ‘f-the haters’ dedications and Lia shakes her head to the point you may actually hear it. The girls laugh over the newest book of the week Rookie by Samantha Whiskey and predict what this literary masterpiece has in store for us. Happy reading, world!

In this week’s episode Jerrica and Lia are in sync and in agreement - how fun! Jerrica has an epiphany while reading 1000 Doors of January and Lia helps her realize that it’s reality. Jerrica does not like reality. In books that is. If it’s fiction it needs to go all the way to fantasy land. Lia intro’s the next book, Heartless by Marissa Meyer and off with their heads is the most solid prediction we’ve ever come up with. Happy reading!

In this week’s episode we talk about Strange! Both the strange summer book choices Jerrica made and the actual Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor. We admit even our window of reading this week was tight, so if you haven’t finished, listen along to Lia’s awesome summary that is nearly as long as the book. Kidding, that’s impossible. Afterwards, learn how Jerrica got through the book with the help of google in a mini game called Name that Word. We introduce the next book, The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow and predict the plot. Happy reading listeners!

In today’s episode Lia and Jerrica are officially back from summer vacation, but are not sure their brains have caught up with their bodies, maybe not their bodies either since they wonder when nap time is. Nevertheless they’re still reading! They judge the cover, summarize the first three chapters and predict the plot of Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor. Will it live up to the high ratings on Goodreads? Read along to find out!
