This week Jerrica and Lia are pumped to talk about Pestilence by Laura Thalassa as it met all of their missionary eye contact desires. They tried to share their interest in the book of the week with their husbands with little success, and confirm this podcast is needed. Jerrica gets Lia to “name that noise” and sparks a discussion on audiobook narrators. Listen in to hear the oddest noises a narrator has ever made!

Jerrica takes multitasking to a new level and scribd puts her in book jail because of it- but Lia has thoughts, and solutions! A publishing house or scribd itself should hire her immediately. While we’re enjoying everything we’re reading lately, we enjoyed the book of the week Plain Bad Heroines, least of all. But we have high hopes for our next book Pestilence by Laura Thalassa because it was her series The Bargainer (which we nicknamed The Missionary Series) that sparked our idea to have a podcast about books! So thank you Laura Thalassa- we’re elated to highlight you this week!!

Jerrica admits to having books on her mind- while dreaming, while driving away with her phone on top of the car, you know, the usual. Lia’s support and suggestion to always be reading so you know when you’ve lost your connection is the definition of friendship. They talk about the book of the week, Campus Player by Jennifer Sucevic and decide the definition of ‘virgin’ needs a modernization. In their side book reading, Jerrica has found the light after finishing Michelle Hercules’ reverse harem Wicked Gods series and is a FAN. Lia reads a romance that has some of the harshest reviews from NOT fans of the novel and they are hilarious! Listen in to hear all about it!

Bonus episode: In this bonus episode we chat about Shadow and Bone, the Netflix tv series based on Leigh Bardugo's books. We gush about our newfound love for Jesper and Mal, our casting approvals and Kaz concerns. Lia's obsession with the Darkling grows as the actor resembles her husband- how spicy! Jerrica is shaking with anticipation of the Nikolai casting reveal. When. Who. How hot? Can we truly wait a whole year for a second season, we may need to re-read them in the meantime.

This weeks episode Jerrica enlightens us on an epic story she’s reading that just so happens to be reverse harem. Lia declares she is team no harem. And when moving on to a gifted romance book by Jennifer Sucevic Campus Player, Lia rants about her football vs football issues and Jerrica tries to disappear into thin air. Please no hate mail, but if you must, Jerrica understands.
We recap The Girl The Sea Gave Back by Adrienne Young and conclude we are Fable all the way.
Is reverse harem a love triangle on steroids? We say - listen and find out!

In this weeks episode Jerrica is excited to share a “guess the magical species” game with Lia, who is obviously educated on the genre as she slays the game.
The tables turn from a few weeks ago and now it’s Jerrica who needs a possible intervention for her book addiction.
Lia surprises the world with her memory capacity, recalling the entire story and character names in the latest book of the week Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young. We predict the next book in this duology The Girl the Sea Gave Back. We gush about the authors continuously amazing cover art and also about our super handsome prince from the Swedish Royal Family. Hand-some! Listen in and read along with us!

Jerrica and Lia let all of their feelings out about the end of the duology by Leigh Bardugo- King of Scars and Rule of Wolves. In short: more romance!
We learn that literally no continuity issue gets by Lia, and someone should immediately hire her for this super power. Jerrica let’s all of this go over her head while sucked into an Amelia Hutchins book vortex again and shares the best dedication ever written.
Lia is almost caught up on the latest Cassandra Claire books and we wonder if our husbands would also not mind us turning into upside down mermaids every now and then. We predict the next book of the week: Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young. Listen in to hear what I mean.

It's Grishaverse week! Jerrica and Lia are so invested in these Leigh Bardugo characters, that the lines of real life vs fiction blur. From quoting the characters as if they've spoken directly to them, to re-naming their babies, to an extra extreme where Lia's approval of murder -if it's by the Six of Crows crew- comes into question. Super summary; we love Grisha, we love dragons, we love love. You're welcome.

Lia reveals she is an all or nothing person, and this week is all for The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern and nothing for After by Anna Todd - but she pulls a twist and from nothing turns all in for the Hades perspective of Scarlett St. Clair’s A Game of Fate. After gushing over night circus we finally get our duology dream and predict King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo.

Get ready for binge week! Lia goes overboard and devours books while Jerrica is savoring them on a family ski trip. Seeking a book addict comrade, Lia traps Jerrica into reading the After series by Anna Todd. When they realize they’re both unhealthily addicted to what they soon find out is One Direction fan fiction, they both consider changing their identities and throwing in the literary towel. Good thing they have The Un-Life of William Moore by Dana Lockhart to keep them grounded, and an exciting intro to The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern to bring their addictions back to an acceptable level. Catch up if you can!
