This week we chat to Jane Pickthall, virtual school head, and she reflects on the learning and challenges that many young people face who are also fostered and previously looked after. Jane discussed the work that she does to ensure that school is a safe environment for children and how she has built a multidisciplinary team within her virtual school staff  team to meet the needs of the children under her care. 

Jane is passionate and we touch on a range of issues including the benefits of lockdown for some young people and the impact on results, post 16 education for children and how the Virtual School should be a champion for children.
