These creepy distorted bastards are trying to "communicate" but the zknight bros can't get a grasp, their EQ is pushed all the way up and ears are beginning to hurt. A lot of commotion is going on, and after a bunch of beat swapping, the zknights get on track and pump up dual style! Freakin' mosquitoes... time to get back to sleep. Zzzzzzz.....

This was hard. First attempt on LSDJ and with bpm sync probs. Anyway, lots of fun bringing the PO and the OP-Z for an extra flavour. Only had a few hours to come up with this rough fight but it was worth it!

This week I recorded some drums at my work place.

I sat my zoom H4N on a chair and recorded a take with each drum separately. I then cut up the takes and used the bits I thought sounded interesting or that were easy to make a beat with.

I don't even have much to say about the process in this one, maybe more about the anti-process. I wanted to make sure I didn't have any loops running through the entire song (something I feel I've been suffering from lately), so I purposefully removed them when it felt right. Got pretty far on the verse vibes, then created a chorus. Wasn't big enough, so the baritone guitar came to save the day. Really getting into mics and using physical amps. And needed that angel chorus at the end to close it out.

This one is made completely from samples from the third 20 minutes in Night of the Living Dead. This section of the movie has a lot of talking, and I wanted to recreate the sensation of conversation in the song.  I failed completely.  What came out instead is a Maurizio-like beat and snippets of voices and other samples, all connected by signal followers and delays.
