Week two of sleep deprived, time squeezed writing and recording! it's not perfect, but it's what I can do in the time I have in a week!
Little pop-punky acoustic thing this week - kind of reminds me of the stuff Four Year Strong used to pump out back in the day... obviously with way less intense and beefy vocals - just little ol' me!
Back to work next week - even less time. YIKES!
Have a lovely week - thanks for all of the positive messages and congratulations over the past few submissions!
Lyrics:
we never fixed those creaky floors
It was a symbol of what we were
We never oiled those squeaky doors
We just thought it didn't hurt
All those years we promised
Making little changes
All those times that we would cry
That we would start again
But we never meant it
You never fixed your fucking car
I always hated how loud it was
I never quit my awful job
I guess I always liked the fuss
You always left the front door open
You knew it would wind me up
I'd always leave the keys on the counter
But you always just forgot
All those years we promised
Making little changes
All those times that we would cry
That we would start again
But we never meant it
We never meant it (x4)
All those years we promised
Making little changes
All those times that we would cry
That we would start again
But we never meant it
