Written entirely on the Dirtywave M8 Tracker.
Light mastering in Audacity (normalizing/limiting/compressing).
A continuation of last week's track's outro, whose intro was the previous week's outro, whose intro was the previous week's outro, whose...
This track is therefore part of an ongoing series that started in week 4.
You can listen to the Through the Year mix (WB #4–37) (as of week 37, it is 1 hr 18 min long).
First and foremost, this track was made in "secret" collaboration (well, we gave it away on Discord on day one) with...
the one and only evanericksonmusic!
If you haven't checked it out already, please, please go and listen to Evan's track.
› Notes on the collab‹ Notes on the collabWe followed the same Exquisite Corpse protocol that I used with my previous three collaborators.
(You can get an idea of how it works from Neon's great write-up.)
I had a collab planned, but my collaborator couldn't make it, so when I asked if anyone was up for it on Discord, Evan kindly replied that he was. <3
We had talked about doing a collab before, so this was a good opportunity to make it happen!
This week has also been quite busy with work and life, so I've had very limited time each day.
We started our own tracks on Monday and exchanged bundles.
Evan's characteristic style was both a wonder and a challenge to work with.
With a sound as rich and full as his, I had to work hard to make my voice heard alongside his on both of our tracks.
I'm glad we both pushed through because the results are there, and I think we can be proud of what we accomplished!
Thank you again for being such a great sport, Evan. <3
Samples or instruments used:
- guitar samples kindly sent by Endojo; <3
- vocals from James Strazza - Doe Eyes, an online friend of Evan who passed away from ME/CFS June 2026;
- royalty free Spanish Our Father Gregorian Chant from NickPanek;
- a double bass M8 instrument file from Barrister Plong.
And thank you for checking it out.
Hope you enjoy!

PS: Another collab will see the light of day next week.
Stay tuned to discover next week's awesome collaborator!
