Some darkwave campiness this week. LFO practice continues.

As a listener, I get annoyed when instrumental songs have random voice samples thrown in, to me it disrupts the flow. But as a producer they're fun to make, so here we are XD

I had a collab planned, but my collaborator couldn't make it, so when I asked if anyone was up for it on Discord, Evan kindly replied that he was. <3

We had talked about doing a collab before, so this was a good opportunity to make it happen!

This week has also been quite busy with work and life, so I've had very limited time each day.

We started our own tracks on Monday and exchanged bundles.

Evan's characteristic style was both a wonder and a challenge to work with.

With a sound as rich and full as his, I had to work hard to make my voice heard alongside his on both of our tracks.

I'm glad we both pushed through because the results are there, and I think we can be proud of what we accomplished!

Revisiting playing guitar direct into the M8 as an external instrument, pretty fun and a lightweight set up for brainstorming/tinkering. Have gotten a lot more comfortable with the sampler, what a versatile tool. I think maybe next time I will just use the M8 to record/slice the guitar samples and ensure they sync up with everything else, but then bring them over into Reaper for more plugin options
