  • Week 17 - electronic_tiger - I Want To Burn Bright | Fast, floaty and dreamy Techno to play WipeOut to
164bpm techno to play WipeOut to, week 17. It's fast and dreamy. Relentlessly going through different stages culminating into a section to zone-out to. Taking Paisleyfrog's suggestion from last week, I tried make it a bit more 'guitar sounding'. Not being a guitar player, everything is a synthesizers going through guitar pedals. Anyway, I wanted to make something that has a lot of energy. And feels kind of floaty. And I think I succeeded in that, what do you think?
Any and all feedback is welcome!

  • Week 17 - Ashtom - Exactitude
This week is a track made solely on the Synthstrom Deluge.
I started with the idea of a pad with the filter modulation speeding up and down. Then I added a few of the recent patches I made recently with wavetables, sprinkled some old field recording (like really old, almost 30 years old). I also played a bit with the automation feature of the community firmware (I enjoy the display and the ease of use very much).
It's not a complex piece and it's definitely not one I'm most proud of, but, as I say many times about Weeklybeats, it has the merit to exist and that has to be enough for this week.
Have a nice week and thanks in advance for any comments!

  • Week 17 - FrogCity - Tuva Chief
Made a number of Kargyraa breakthroughs this week both in false cord and fry. Got 2x down with some pitch control in both. 3x have hit a few times in each (octave and fifth down). Hit 4x with fry a few times as well but couldn't manage a repro on pitch for the recording.
The submission Greg I did a few weeks back I used an octave effect. Although I was doing nearly a 2x Kargyraa without realizing it at the time (wasn't quite locked in). In this one it's Kargyraa in all the voices, 2x and 3x.

"And we naa stop talk bout coral gardens

Calling all soldiers near and far
    Please send for them
'Cause we burn the beast and him children
Then we burning all evidence"- Chronixx
As always, another week, another beat, I hope whoever listens enjoys. P.S. remember to make way if a rasta man is busting through your gateway. Real Badmon tings buh buh buh!!!!!

  • Week 17 - LeBernd - All-Sauce
Another one that doesn't feel finished. Started out composing the Bridge section at my keyboard, and then had trouble coming up with material surrounding it. Made the 808 section more as a placeholder that ended up sticking around, and it was kinda fun to use the M8s soft clipping feature and OTT to make it all sound extra huge and blown out. But in the end, it doesn't feel like a balanced meal, but more like a plate of just mediocre hot sauce, hence the name. But here we are, pushing through!
It's been a nice week though, spent a lot of time reading and left town to go to a good friend's wedding this weekend. It was extremely sweet. Spring's finally rolling around and I'll try to combine music making and going outside more these next weeks.

  • Week 17 - ModuLoBro - Oh the Humanity
not a techno producer no no I am not
    (unsung lyrics)
still so much to learn about the Deluge, and likely about my own bad habits that software DAWs make much easier to work around. This is exactly what I signed up for, so there you have it.
Extracurricular music time is very short these days but I'll just keep doing what I can each week! Also what I signed up for.
    hugs to all as always.
