This week's track is inspired by inception and a weird Instagram account that posts old tech, scifi, ads, and other stuff. The first quote in the track is from inception, and all vox are from Microsoft TTS, fed through a few plugins. I tried going for a dreamy/weird vibe and I'm pretty happy with the results. Any feedback is appreciated!

I was reading an article semi-recently and it mentioned that ferrets were the only animals other than humans that got tinnitus.  It didn't really elaborate much more on that, but it made me wonder how they know that a ferret gets tinnitus.  I'm sure it probably has something to do with ear structures or something like that, but the article itself talked about how tinnitus is a completely subjective experience.  That kind of got me thinking about how so many of our experiences are really subjective and it seemed like a fun/interesting thing to write a song about.

On a side note I have a bit of tinnitus myself.  I think it's a fairly mild case as I can usually tune it out, but it's definitely not super awesome.  Sometimes in really quiet rooms my ears will just start ringing loudly and every once in a while it makes it hard to go to sleep.  I probably spend too much time listening to headphones and I certainly went to a few really loud rock concerts in my day.  Maybe ferrets are super into rocking out???

There have been some nice acid-related modules released for VCVRack recently, so thought I'd have a go and see what's what.

Been fiddling with the M8 headless via an ambernic handheld. On that discovered that rapid racer for ps1 is doing basically the exact thing i've been doing here; surf rock jungle vibes.

I thought I'd inject a bit of what they were doing in what I am doing. m8 headless, theres so much I am not utilizing but I'm slowly getting there. Lots of fun. There's enough here for me to truly polish this one into an actual release I reckon. When I get over the surf rock exploration I'll have to compile the best and release them and or practice them for live play.
