15/16 time Iwato scale in B
It does not feel difficult to use compared to Locrian even tho it's the same thing just without the 3 and 6

  • Week 15 - RajaTheResidentAlien - The WeeklyBEAST Pt. 1
yet ANOTHER speed trash work of art, by yours truly!
(actually got this done and uploaded on Friday... i dunno why, but i've got a feeling i'll want to do something else this weekend besides fail hard on music making, haha)
Thanks again to Orbit_Normal for mentioning the existence of 'pattrns'(the new Lua based scripting language for algorithmically defining sequences for Renoise 'patterns', which has a Tidal Cycles subset of commands included, and makes it possible to live-code in Renoise as well(which i haven't gone far enough to grasp fully yet)), in their 13th week's description of this year on weeklybeats(i rarely update my copy of Renoise, so it really helped me to hear of the new feature here).
Another great thing about all my speed trash: always uploaded into the Creative Commons Zero space.

  • Week 15 - Gene Bodem - GENE BODEM - Unreleased Track 02 "Burning Whip"
I've been having a long time getting back to production and compositing music, it's been a long time since then and I'm going to give a update at least, so I don't look like I'm procrastinating.
In the beginning of January, I wanted to start promoting my music to get more attraction but the issue is, I only had about an Album and a single out, and there not the best of my current works. So I decided to start production of a big  project titled "RED BATS", it's an album with 19 Tracks in total with A sides having 10 Tracks and B sides having 9 Tracks, I planned on having CDs and handing them out in my country (which is Morocco), and seeing if I can guarantee some new listeners but I wanted to make something that's truly enjoyable and with my true vision, that the whole album tells a story and that every track is like the next chapter and it will have free interpretation from the listener so it doesn't seem only from the perspective from the author.
This project has taken so far months and it seems like I'm delaying it to the next year which I don't know how to feel about, but I know that I can make something like this, it's just very energy consuming. so if I don't upload music or songs very often, I'm mostly artblocked and I will mostly upload either demos or unreleased stuff that is a learning curve for me, like this one which is basically the use of sampling a voice track and song structure. as I lacked that in my Album "SKY HIGH", Thank you for reading and for listening to my track.
    Peace out ! :)

  • Week 15 - 0x_colt - ECG
Something a little different for y'all this week. I haven't made anything hip-hop adjacent in ages, so this was mostly a bit of an exercise of "can I still even do this?..."
Hopefully not too scary for those who have actually been hooked up to an ECG before. LOL
Let me know what you think down below! I'm especially curious this time around considering how different this is from my usual tracks.
PS: Download quality should be fixed from now on.

  • Week 15 - loteq - stasis
a really rough track concept that i plan on working on developing further at some point. mix is super rough and ideas aren't fully realised at all but the vibe is there.
not much else to add other than making music week to week is really hard haha, so hats off to everyone able to fully commit to the challenge. it's been a rough month or so after so much positive momentum but hopefully something clicks into place and I can get another interesting idea finished for next week.
    thanks for listening.

  • Week 15 - deeckzeven - A Gentleman's Lasagna
This is very silly and very not cool. I think that I should hate this but I don't somehow. I want you to listen to it but I think I should apologize. Anyway.
This one began with a little chord/bass germ. And for some reason sticking to CR-78 drums seemed like a good challenge, in light of my recent sins against percussion. So these were my completely arbitrary made-up restrictions:
    * The only drum sounds are CR-78 samples.
    * No editing, pitch shifting, enveloping, etc. on those samples.
    * No overdrive, reverb, delay, etc. on the drums
    * Light EQ on drums as a whole, but not individually.
It got silly real fast and I leaned into it, for better or worse.

I got a new bass, finally!  Shoutout to Blighter's Rock for turning me on to the jazz bass.  Thanks for everyone listening and commenting, I'm really busy with putting out these releases and Orange Drink has some shows coming up in Milwaukee. <3
