Crazy week at work and life, had to rush this Friday Evening and Saturday Morning. Dirtywave, Töörö & Dreadbox Atom. Looking forward to have a live setup, but for now I am just resampling. Got a good workflow to associate MIDI to samples I sum 80 to a MIDI to its rendered version (i.e. 10 in MIDI is A0 rendered, 11 is A1 and so on)

Sometimes the actual moment of the recording and the creative process itself are more important to me than the final result. They capture something more personal and immediate, because I want to share a true picture of my music rather than something constructed or artificial.

This week, I couldn’t sleep one night, so at 3 a.m. I decided to record something on the 4-track cassette recorder sitting next to my bed. I grabbed my acoustic guitar and did two takes. I was half-asleep and had no real plan for what I was going to play. I just improvised around an idea I’d been exploring with a new guitar tuning.

The next day, I realized I liked the recording more than I had expected, so I added some texture with the Pianet and a few effect pedals.

This is what came out of that midnight session.

My longest piece this year at over 8 min, but I think it works!  I really appreciate everyone's time and kindness and support.  I hope I can catch up a little bit before the year ends, but you know there's just too much great music and not enough time.
