    IN THIS EPISODE: Between the years 1925 and 1927, a young teenage girl named Eleonore Zugun from Romania, became the most closely observed, investigated and tested poltergeist victim of the 20th century. Her story is terrifying. (The Romanian Poltergeist Girl) *** When you become a celebrity, you expect certain individuals to go past being fans and into being fanatics. Even stalkers. It’s always been that way. Not even Clark Gable was spared – and one woman named Violet made his life a living nightmare. (Dear Mr. Gable) *** There is a rumor that Jacques Cousteau dove to the bottom of Lake Tahoe and filmed a creature but did not release the film saying that “The world was not yet ready for what’s down there”. What is at the bottom of Lake Tahoe? (The Lake Tahoe Monster) *** There is a type of mass murder that draws true-crime connoisseurs like no other… familicide, more often called family annihilation. It is a crime that has invoked horror and fascination in equal measures.  (The Psychology of Family Annihilators)

  • TRACKING THE YETI: A History of Himalayan Bigfoot Sightings
    #WDRadio WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 28, 2025: Giant footprints at 20,000 feet, ancient Tibetan warnings, and mysterious disappearances in the mountains—the Yeti isn't just a legend. There are centuries of encounters from the Himalayas to Siberia, including evidence that made even skeptics into believers, with connections to unexplained phenomena that challenges everything we thought we knew about the Abominable Snowman.
    ==========
    HOUR ONE: Is it possible that in 1927 we picked up signals from an artificial satellite sent to our planet by an extraterrestrial intelligence? Some believe the evidence is overwhelming. (Mystery of the Alien Satellite) *** When a great famine struck Europe in 1314, mothers abandoned their children and in some cases, even ate them. Could this be the gruesome beginnings of the story we know as Hansel and Gretel? (The Grimm Reality Behind Hansel and Gretel) *** But first… I doubt there’s a single person over the age of twelve living in the modernized world that hasn’t at least heard of Bigfoot. A large portion of them have probably heard it’s other name – Sasquatch – as well. But far fewer are familiar with his even more reclusive Siberian cousin: the Russian Bigfoot that’s we’ve come to know as the Yeti, or more fondly… the Abominable Snowman. We’ll begin with that story! (Why They Call This Snowman Abominable)
    ==========
    HOUR TWO: Ever heard of Shadrack Ireland? No, it’s not a place – it’s a person, actually. A preacher – and one of the most bizarre religious leaders ever to walk the soil of New England. And as strange as his religious practices and teachings were – his death was just as crazy. (The Perfect Man) *** Lisa woke up to find her boyfriend staring at her. When she asked him what was wrong, he replied, “I’m going to kill you and drink your blood.” Is it possible that the film, “Interview With The Vampire” made Daniel Sterlin turn into a real-life bloodthirsty monster? (Interview With The Wannabee Vampire) *** Gerald Foos built a secret passageway in his motel – not to smuggle drugs or store weapons, but so he could spy on his motel guests having sex. And it gets even creepier than that. (Peeping Tom Motel) *** A family loses two children by apparent poisoning… and then the mother’s death two months later under the same mysterious circumstances. Obviously there was a murderer living amongst the family, or somewhere in the town. Wasn’t there? (The Mystery of the Garrett Family’s Tragic Deaths)
    ==========
    SUDDEN DEATH OVERTIME: In 1938, stories of a "killer ghost" began to be told in eastern Kentucky. Even though no one ever saw this malevolent apparition, it was said to have caused five very similar and unexplained deaths. (The Ghost That Killed With Chains)

  • THE BIGFOOT OF HIROSHIMA: When Japan Had Its Own Sasquatch Fever (1970-1975)
    In the summer of 1970, a truck driver's encounter with an ape-like creature walking upright on a mountain road sparked "Hibagon fever" across Japan, transforming the sleepy town of Saijo into ground zero for a five-year cryptid hunt complete with government-paid bounties, dedicated officials, and media chaos. Though the 1.6-meter tall, gorilla-bodied beast was never caught or photographed despite 29 official sightings, Hibagon's legacy lives on in the community it put on the map, with locals still believing their mysterious visitor is living peacefully somewhere deep in the mountains.

    IN THIS EPISODE: Learning of other races and cultures has been something man has sought knowledge of ever since they first discovered other races and cultures existed. But that’s the thing – you have to know those races and cultures existed in the first place. And there is one race known as the Oghar that very few know about – and it has been practically wiped from history. (Mystery of the Oghars) *** Lakes are often scenes of brutal crimes and dumping ground for murder victims, but you don’t often hear of the lake itself being the murderer. But one lake killed 1,700 people… in a single night. (The Lake Exploded) *** Imagine moving into a new home only to realize it already has a resident ghost living there – but not only that, but the ghost enjoys having full-blown two-way conversations with you through the walls. (The Beastie In The Walls) *** In 1593, a Spanish soldier named Gil Pérez claimed he traveled over 9,000 miles in just a few seconds. Supposedly he disappeared in Manila and appeared in Mexico. Is there any truth to the story, or evidence to back up his claim? (The Man Who Teleported) *** If you are a fan of the Neverglades Mysteries series that I’ve been releasing once in a while on Creepypasta Thursdays, then you’ll want to listen through the end of the Chamber of Comments because there’s a little piece of news about the Neverglades you might like to hear. *** A strange sighting took place in 1970 in Hiroshima Prefecture – and the way it’s described, it sounds like Japan might have it’s very own Sasquatch! And now, decades later – that beast might save the town it was spotted in. (The Bigfoot of Hiroshima)

  • WHEN DARKNESS BECOMES THE TEACHER: Why Christians Shouldn’t Shy Away From Horror Stories
    The shelves of your local Christian bookstore hold stories of prairie romances and missionary adventures, but certain sections remain conspicuously absent. There's a reason some believers avoid entire genres of literature, convinced that faith requires turning away from shadows. Yet scripture itself tells a different story about the role of fear and darkness in the journey toward light.
