  • WEREWOLVES: The REAL History Behind the Legends, Lore, and Lycanthropy
From ancient Sumerian epics to modern-day sightings in England's Cannock Chase, the werewolf has terrorized humanity for over 2,000 years — and the real history includes medieval trials that tortured and executed thousands of accused shapeshifters, medical conditions that spawned the legends, and 35 documented sightings in a single forest that continue to this day. Journey through the dark truth behind lycanthropy, from the She-Wolves of Jülich who allegedly killed 94 people to the shocking werewolf trials that made witch hunts look merciful, and discover why every culture on Earth has its own terrifying version of the wolf-human hybrid.

IN THIS EPISODE: The idea of the werewolf has been with us for a long time – the first mention of a werewolf that we know of is over two thousand years ago. We’ll look at the origins of the werewolf, look at whether they are actually real, and if so, how one goes about becoming one, and some of the cures believed to release the man from the beast. Of course, it’s not always the Wolf-Man… sometimes it’s the Wolf-Woman. We’ll look at the most fearsome lady werewolves throughout history! I’ll tell you about the trials and punishments of those convicted of being werewolves – many probably wish they’d have confessed to being witches instead! Plus, what if I was to tell you that werewolves truly ARE real – and that a small village has been terrorized by them for decades – right up to modern day? There is convincing evidence to back up my claim! All of this and more werewolfism can be found in this episode!

  • THIS COP WAS A SERIAL MURDERER: The Crimes and Trial of the Golden State Killer
After decades of terrorizing California with over 50 rapes and 13 murders, the Golden State Killer was finally caught in 2018 — and the monster behind the mask was Joseph James DeAngelo, a former police officer who'd been living a quiet suburban life with his family. His wife of 40 years had no idea she was sleeping next to one of America's most prolific serial killers, a man who used his law enforcement training to evade capture while destroying countless lives.

IN THIS EPISODE: Joseph James DeAngelo was arrested and pleaded guilty; he received multiple life sentences, bringing the Golden State Killer trial to an end several decades after the murderer's bloody reign began. But the most shocking part of his story for most, even more so than the brutal and monstrous crimes, was the fact that he was a trusted member of law enforcement – a man the public was expected to trust and depend on. We’ll look at the crimes he committed… and the trial that finally put him away for good. Plus… imagine being married to someone for forty years, only to find out that person is the Golden State Killer. We’ll look at the life of Sharon Huddle, who understandably wants nothing to do with the press. Was she fooled by her husband for all those years, or did she know all along that her husband was truly a serial killer?

  • THE GHOST OF MAULES: Unmasking Le Loyon, Switzerland's Most Bizarre Urban Legend
For over a decade, residents of a quiet Swiss village reported encounters with a figure in a gas mask and military cloak lurking in their forests—until 2013, when someone finally captured proof on camera. Days after the photo went viral, investigators found only an abandoned coat and a cryptic suicide note in the woods, leaving more questions than answers about who Le Loyon really was.

IN THIS EPISODE: Nellie Meunch was accused of kidnapping. Her ingenious scheme to beat the charges? To kidnap again. (Kidnapping, Babies, and Blackmail) *** Before we knew it as tuberculosis, most knew it as consumption – and it was almost always fatal, with those who had it seemingly being consumed by the disease, which is probably how it got its name. So it should be no surprise that homes where the disease took up residence were devastated, and whether or not they are haunted by the paranormal, they are certainly haunted by the dark memories and energies of those who were consumed there. Including one particular home a doctor in 1915 will describe for us. (Consumption Cottage) *** Norfolk’s Horning Village is not your typical residential area of living – the village slips back and forth in time every five years. And one family knows that’s true, because they were stuck in one of the time slips. (Timeslip Village) *** When fans of the paranormal hear the name ‘Rendlesham’, the first thing that springs to mind is an incident that happened over three nights around Christmas 1980, when it was said that several spaceships visited the nearby airbase. What they don’t think of is Ariel the mermaid, or Daryl Hannah from the movie “Splash”. But maybe they should. (The Mermaid of Rendlesham) *** Isabella of France is a fantastically interesting historic figure, even more so because of how little-known she is. You’d think a queen who was known as a she-wolf would be something you might have read about in history class. (Isabella: She-Wolf of England) *** But first, the figure, who is known as 'Le Loyon' has been called Switzerland's answer to the Loch Ness Monster, wears a military uniform and a thick cloak, with a gas mask covering his or her face. Who or what is he? We begin with that story. (The Masked Man Le Loyon)

In 1855, when women and children began disappearing from Choctaw settlements in Oklahoma, a band of thirty warriors led by Joshua LeFlore rode out to hunt down the kidnappers. What they discovered at that earthen mound deep in the wilderness wasn't human—and the battle that followed would be buried from official history for over a century.

IN THIS EPISODE: Did you hear about the time Bigfoot and humans went to war against each other? It supposedly did happen in real life and I’ll tell you the story! (The Leflore County Bigfoot War) *** The body of 25-year-old Jason Chase was found several weeks after he had gone missing – but the cause of his death was a mystery to everyone for almost twenty years. (The Eerie Death of Hiker Jason Chase) *** There are people in life that you just would rather not deal with. Wouldn’t be great if you could just put them on ice and let some other future generation deal with that person? Well, aside from the morally unacceptable actions you’d have to take to make that happen, the technology for doing so might not be too far away. Some of the ulta-wealthy are making plans to be brought back to life later, or to live for a very long time, or… even to be immortal. (How The Super Rich Plan To Live Forever) *** Soon after moving into their quaint Massachusetts country home in 1981, Lui and Dale Passetto encountered a force of pure evil that almost destroyed them and their family. (The Passetto Family Possession) *** On August 29, 1890, a 16-year-old boy named Otto Lueth was hanged at the Ohio State Penitentiary in Columbus. He had been tried and convicted of the murder of Maggie Thompson, age 9 – a murder for which he had shown no remorse. It is a sad and tragic story… but also one of utter horror. When Dr. Frederick Andrews volunteers to test Professor Malcolm's time machine in 1950, he discovers a horrifying truth in the year 2050: humanity lives underground, trapped in a 95-year nuclear war that started with a missile accident in Red Rock, Arizona. After his memories of the future are erased and the experiment is deemed a failure, the scientists receive funding for a new project—a space rocket base in Red Rock, Arizona, unknowingly setting in motion the very catastrophe Andrews witnessed.
