IN THIS EPISODE: Want to live on the cheap in Tokyo, Japan? It’s easy to do – if you don’t mind living with a ghost or two. (Tokyo Ghosts) *** Cryptozoologists are abuzz right now about recent sightings of a creature seen in the lakes of Connemara in Ireland. The creature is rumored to be up to 30 feet long, with a mane of hair running along its back. Is it a yet undiscovered species of fish? A giant eel? A cousin to the Loch Ness monster in Scotland – or even perhaps a living dinosaur? No one has yet been able to answer the question – but this August, monster hunters from around the globe are coming together in Ireland to try and find answers. (The Giant Eels of Connemara) *** High school teacher Pamela Smart fell in love. Unfortunately, she fell in love with a 15-year-old student… and that is only the beginning of this horrible story. (High School Homicide) *** Weirdo family member, Josh Marinkovic, tells an eerie true experience that would shake anyone to the core. (Oh, He’s Not Home) *** For decades, mountain hikers have been reporting strange things happening on Mount Everest while scaling to the top. Weird events and encounters that could only be described as supernatural. (The Paranormal of Mount Everest)

IN THIS EPISODE: Here in 2020 it feels like our world is imploding doesn’t it? Race riots, a worldwide pandemic, an incredibly difficult economy with more job losses than we’ve seen since the Great Depression, and… oh yeah… let’s not forget murder hornets. But what if all this chaos has the capacity for good? What if, contrary to what our fretful brains tell us, God is still in control and is, even now, using everything I just listed, and everything else that seems to be going wrong in our world, for our good and to further His kingdom?  Yes, our world has gone crazy – but maybe that’s good for God’s people.

IN THIS EPISODE: Jodi Arias murdered her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander. She’s now in prison – and says she loves it there. (The Murderess Who Loves Life in Prison) *** Bioluminescence is a fascinating trait, giving certain animals the ability to create their own light – literally glowing in the dark. The phenomenon has also been seen in humans, but only with special optics – it’s not visible to the naked eye. Except, that is, for a handful of very rare and unexplainable cases – one in which a woman’s breasts would glow. (The Strange Case of the Woman With Glowing Breasts) *** Vampires are everywhere – television, film, graphic novels, video games, books, and more cosplay than you can sink your teeth into. While our interest in blood-sucking creatures of the night is ubiquitous, it is by no means new. Before vampires sparkled in the sun, spoke in a Hungarian accent, or even crossed the mind of Bram Stoker, they’ve been terrorizing young and old alike… and have been doing so for almost a thousand years. But while we see the fanged fiends as entertainment, those before us saw them as a very real and evil danger. (Medieval Vampires) *** They seem to fall directly from the above – stones, falling upon unsuspecting people – sometimes by the dozens – and sometimes not from the sky, but from their own home’s ceiling. Who or what is throwing stones – and how? (The Mysterious Stone Throwers)

IN THIS EPISODE: Murderous phantoms and homicidal ghosts are only found in television and movies, right? It’s rare – but they do decide to to make their presence known in the real world on occasion. (Homicidal Poltergeists) ***
A dead chicken was found beside the granary, next to a large print on the ground of an animal no one could identify. That was almost a year ago when sightings of a strange creature began on the Restayno family’s property. (The Argentina Entity) *** You’ve heard her story on national news – the hiker, lost in the wilderness of Hawaii for seventeen days. Fortunately she was found alive and relatively unharmed. But the mainstream news outlets are leaving out one very eerie part of Amanda Eller’s story. (Ghostly Voice Causes Hiker To Get Lost) *** Heaven and Hell… are these just ideas in a book, or are they real places? And is it true, as some believe, that Hell is below us, in the center of the Earth? (Caught Between Heaven And Hell) *** A paranormal investigator stumbles upon an abandoned property he has never seen before – and even this seasoned ghost hunter was scared out of his wits by what happened there. (The Ghost of a Serial Killer Lurks Within This Abandoned Farmhouse)

IN THIS EPISODE: One of my favorite authors for true crime and paranormal stories is Troy Taylor. He does his research, and when he takes pen to paper he is unparalleled in creating a picture in your mind of the scene and the players. If you close your eyes, it’s almost as if you are there when the events took place. Some of the work of Troy Taylor in this episode of Weird Darkness.

IN THIS EPISODE: One commentator says that if you say “Jesus” the Spanish way it sounds like “Hey Zeus.” - personally, I remember hearing that while watching “Die Hard With a Vengeance.” This amusing fact is offered by conspiracy theorists as “proof” that the name of our Savior actually means “Hail Zeus.” As outlandish as this might sound, the writer explains, proponents of this belief seem to suggest that Jesus is Zeus.

IN THIS EPISODE: Eastern State hospital was originally known as the Public Hospital for Persons of Insane and Disordered Minds, built in 1773. It was America’s first mental asylum – and the horrors in the minds of its patients couldn’t compare to the horrors of the asylum itself. (The Hauntings of Eastern State Mental Asylum) ***
Weirdo family member Krysta Lee shares a personal encounter with a spirit in her bathroom. (Cool Hand On My Shoulder) *** Belief in witches, hexes, and powerful spirits was prevalent in the 19th century, and into the 20th century. In fact, in rural areas of Pennsylvania, it might still be practiced today. So it’s the perfect setting for a murder involving curses, and a local witch. (The Witch of Ringtown) *** Parking tickets, floppy disks and escaped victims – these helped catch a handful of serial murderers who would likely have never been caught otherwise. (When Killers Capture Themselves) *** It’s been called a freak of nature, as weird as it is beautiful. Seen here are terrifying flying entities, giant skeletons, and even the legendary Bigfoot. We’ll look at the mysterious, strange, and dangerous Okefenokee Swamp in Georgia. (Bigfoot, Giant Skeletons, and Okefenokee Swamp)
