Tanner Horner, a former FedEx delivery driver, has been sentenced to death for the kidnapping and murder of 7-year-old Athena Strand in Texas.

After pleading guilty to capital murder, Horner was moved to the Allan B. Polunsky Unit, the facility that houses Texas male death row inmates. Life inside death row means isolation, strict security, limited recreation, and years of appeals before any execution date is carried out.
