This week Claire and Sue delve into emotions and discuss how important it is to acknowledge and understand our emotions as a source of valuable information to help us become more accepting, more compassionate of ourselves and others. Plus how learning to work with our emotions can support our overall mental well-being and enable us to feel more authentic.
Autumn is a time often associated with change, new starts and transformation, and yet in order for this to work effectively, we may need to create some space. As the trees begin to turn golden and their leaves begin to fall, we too might be thinking about shedding any unwanted habits or behaviours or letting go of what no longer serves us so we can feel lighter and have more room for new things to begin. However, just how easy is it to let go and what's the difference between letting go and giving up? How do we know if something is no longer serving us and whether we need to make space for change and transformation? Claire and Sue give their take on these questions and expand further on this seasonal theme in this week's episode.
We often hear about the benefits of practising gratitude on a regular basis and how it can support our mental well-being, but what does practising gratitude actually entail? How is gratitude different from positivity and what can we do to make room for more gratitude in our day to day lives? In recognition of #worldgratitudeday (September 21st), and in celebration of their new #emotionalwealth on-line course, starting this October; Claire and Sue discuss the important role that gratitude can play in supporting our mental well-being and helping us to feel more emotionally wealthy.
