In this episode, we talk to Elizabeth Thomakos and Sarah Spies who are two of the five actresses (and one understudy) appearing in the play, "Love, Loss and what I Wore". The play will be held One Night Only at the Kent State University Tuscarawas Performing Arts Center on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 7:30 pm. The performance is free with donations going to the Performing Arts Center's Endowment Fund. This is a Black Box Ensemble with Don Irven as the director. The play is based on the book by Ilene Beckerman who wrote about outfits she remembered from her life and the stories tied to those outfits. The book was adapted into play form by Nora and Delia Ephron. Nora and Delia emailed 100 women for stories about their own remembered outfits which they wove together with the collection of stories from the book. As Ephron said, "this is not about fashion; it is about what clothes really are to us, those moments when we are constantly trying to find our identity through them." The weaving of relationships and wardrobes creates a time capsule of a woman's life. Make a plan to attend. It will make a perfect girls' night out!!
