Hello! Welcome to the Wellness in a Chaotic World podcast. I’m your host Sheryl Davis. I am a writer, a mother, a wife, a sister, and a friend. I’m the introverted neighbor next door. I am NOT a doctor or a health expert.
But, for many years, I’ve struggled with inflammation, joint pain, digestive problems, and other health issues that visits to the doctor couldn’t seem to fix. Through a journey of self-exploration and self-advocacy, I’ve started to learn what works for me and my body and what doesn’t.
Wellness in a Chaotic World explores what it means to take ownership of your own health and wellness in a world that doesn’t support a healthy lifestyle.
If you feel drained by the expectations of modern life or you know what it’s like to be in a downward spiral of negative self-talk when you make a less-than-healthy decision for yourself, you’re in the right place. Each week I have conversations with real people learning to live well in our unhealthy, stressed-out, and chaotic world.
Through personal stories and the occasional chat with experts in health and wellness, I hope you’ll find inspiration, encouragement, and practical advice for taking steps to reclaim your own health and happiness.
Most of all, though, I hope you’ll discover that, although we're all individuals with unique health and wellness challenges, we’re not alone on the journey.
So many of the people I love have struggled with their own health challenges like diabetes, heart disease, autoimmune disorders, cancer, ALS, anxiety, ADHD, and more. And I’m willing to bet you know someone who’s dealt with, is dealing with, or will deal with some sort of health-related challenge, too – because we’re all human.
But we don’t talk to each other enough about what we’re going through every day – the little struggles, the big challenges, or the seemingly small wins or life-altering changes that have helped us along the way.
