Alicia opens up the episode with a beautiful poem by Hollie Holden, recaps the end of her trip in Seattle, shares her take on Joe Goldberg’s take on her favourite restaurant in AZ, Flower Child, squatty potty improvisations, holiday parties—white elephant gift exchange with polite Canadians, gift giving and how it's not so good for the bank account but good for the soul, some personal stuff that's been a real punch in the gut this past week, and Ryan's birthday week! It's a real shit mix of topics to kick off the episode--enjoy :)
[17:30] is when Alicia gets into the difference between mental/emotional restriction vs physical restriction when it comes to eating, She talks about how to move into a place of mental and emotional allowance because that's where the magic happens. If you struggle with chronic over-eating, binge eating, or feeling compulsive around food, this episode is for you!

The "A week in the Life of" is a format where Alicia records for 15mins-ish each day in a given week to chat about what's on her mind or what she cares about in the moment.
This episode covers lots of topics, such as:
-Using banana bread to give you a glimpse into Alicia's evolution with eating.
-Busted seams in the fitting room at Winners, some jeans just don't pass the squat test.
-Gym Pet Peeves. PSA: don't stand in front of the dumbbell rack and do lateral raises!
-Mediocre holiday letters, who has the time?!
-Alicia's first hand experience being a victim of theft. Keep your friends close and your personal belongings closer.
-Recapping the movie, Peanut Butter Falcon that leads nicely into Alicia's celebrity "hall passes."
-A conversation about religion and purity culture with her hairstylist.
-Cheugy and Gen Z: why can't we just let women like what they like? If you aren't paying rent and your cell phone bill then you don't get to decide what's trendy and what's not!
-New cat sitter IS a crazy cat lady--we love her.
-Social anxiety and overthinking social interactions.
-New skin care products that don't break the bank!
AND MORE!
