Western Copper and Gold Corporation is a Canada-based exploration stage company, that is engaged in exploration and development of the Casino mineral property. The Company's operations are directed towards the acquisition, exploration and future development of mineral resource properties in Canada. It is developing the Casino Project, a copper, gold, molybdenum and silver deposit, located approximately 300 kilometers northwest of Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. The Casino Project consists of approximately 1,136 full and partial quartz claims and 55 placer claims acquired in accordance with the Yukon Quartz Mining Act. The 825 quartz claims, of approximately 1,136, comprises the initial Casino property and 311 claims comprises the Canadian Creek property. The Company's subsidiary is Casino Mining Corporation.
