Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season is here for the Carolina Panthers. Frank Reich and Bryce Young will make their debuts on Sunday afternoon as the Panthers travel to Atlanta to face the rival Falcons. There's been a lot of change this offseason and with that a lot of excitement from the fan base. Julian Council provides his thoughts on what reasonable expectations should be for the Carolina Panthers heading into 2023.

Panthers Pro Bowl outside linebacker Brian Burns was absent from the team's walkthrough on Monday. When speaking to the media Monday afternoon, Reich said Burns missed personal of a "personal matter". Although, Burns was in the building for meetings. When asked if he was concerned about Burns sitting out Week 1 at Atlanta, Reich did acknowledge the possibility that he could be without Burns on Sunday. Julian reacts to the ongoing contract negotiations between Burns and the organization.

The injury bug continues to plague the team heading into the season. The latest casualty is Marquis Haynes as he was placed on injured reserve due to a back injury that hampered him throughout training camp and the preseason. Who will step up in Haynes role?
