Full Hour | In today’s second hour, Dom welcomes Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer back onto the Dom Giordano Program. Stollsteimer has become somewhat of a character on the show, with Dom playing sound drops from an interview that went south when he tried comparing Stollsteimer to Philadelphia DA Larry Krasner. Dom admits his fault in the comparison, highlighting some positive policing taking place in Delaware County, a strong departure from the prioritization of politics over safety we’re seeing here in Philadelphia. Stollsteimer and Giordano get into the nuts and bolts of what’s playing out in Chester, with Jack explaining the approach that he and the police department have taken to strengthen safety for the residents of the city of Chester and the surrounding County. Stollsteimer stresses the importance of working in conjunction with local resources including the police department, explaining a ‘carrot and stick’ approach that he and the department have worked on.
Then, Giordano moves into a conversation centered on the American Federation of Teachers and public schools, playing back a clip from President Randi Weingarten, who has gone on a recent tear of suggesting that Republicans want to tear down public education. Dom asks why this would be such a bad thing, pointing to the inflated budgets of public schools and the continued failure of students. Then, Giordano ties this into the Build Back Better bill, which Dom reveals is crafted heavily in favor of unions. (Photo by Alex Wong/Getty Images)
