Welcome to What The Heck season 3! This podcast explores unexplained phenomena using stories gathered from various sources, then applies an academic research method to find theories and solutions for each one. So far, we've been unsuccessful in finding any concrete answers, but one of the stories we've covered has been solved. Christmas has been a very busy time for me, so I'm playing catch up! Episodes will drop to weekly so I can do this, but each one will contain a main episode and a creature feature!
This week, we're looking at Black Holes and what happens inside them in the main episode. We know that black holes exist. But what we don't know, is what happens inside of them. Gravity is so strong inside that it's impossible to get close enough to find out.
The creature feature this week we're looking at the Mongolian Death Worm. These creatures live in the Gobi Desert, Mongolia. They're said to be killing machines that move incredibly quickly. Stories of them have interested cryptozoologists and adventurers alike, but not many people have claimed to see one and live to tell the tale.
How is a black hole formed? How do we even know they're there? What do scientists think happens inside them? What does a Mongolian Death Worm actually look like? Why are there so few eyewitness reports of them? What did the Mongolian Premier want a palaeontologist to do with one? Listen in to find out!
