In the wake of the deadly shooting spree in Nova Scotia, and amid a nation-wide shut down because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced a ban on a number of assault-style weapons.

The move, he says, fulfills an election promise, but there is controversy over who it targets and what is left out.
