This topic is an interesting one! Melatonin use is rather controversial in both the holistic and Western medical world. Previous theories have warned people claiming it would interfere with your body's ability to produce the "hormone" naturally. But data doesn't actually back this theory up. High dose melatonin, which behaves more like a super antioxidant than a hormone, has been used for years to treat severe respiratory infections and even cancer. It may be time to re-evaluate our beliefs on melatonin and see it not as a sleep aid but as an immune powerhouse.
Today I finish discussing the recent article written by the new head of the CDC, Dr. Mandy Cohen. Here, I dive into the statistics she cites claiming Americans are on board with interventions for Covid. Shockingly (sarcasm) they are misleading, and even tell a different story. It's interesting what happens when you know how to read the fine print. ;)
