On this episode of Unscripted, I have the coolest most down-to-earth guest for you, Heather Pettey. I met Heather at the Powerhouse Women event this past year and I feel like I met Heather for a reason....She has such great energy and I’m so glad to have her share some of that with you all today!

Heather opens up about starting her podcast after moving to a new city with her family. Feeling lonely and isolated, she found community through listening to podcasts, maybe you can relate??? We share and connect deeply around how podcasting transformed both our businesses, communities and lives. Heather shared some very relatable stories about facing her fears through opportunities like a feature on CNN where she had the even bigger opportunity to share her book for teen girls. How freakin cool is that????

We reflected on parenting tweens and as a tween mom myself, in this digital age and we both stressed the importance of leading by example while appreciating growth and accomplishments. When feeling stuck, Heather reminds and encourages that serving others helps! Through small acts of kindness we can all make a difference, which I can relate to from my own experience.
