Full Hour | To lead off today’s second hour, Jody Della Barba rejoins the Dom Giordano Program with a person she’s now teamed up with, Harrowgate Civic Association President Shannon Farrell, as they gear up to get ahead of the news last week of a coming safe injection site in Philadelphia. Della Barba and Farrell have organized a protest this Wednesday in hopes to prevent the safe injection site from coming to Philadelphia. First, Dom interviews Farrell, with the president of the civic association revealing how the drug scene has negatively impacted her neighborhood, which abuts Kensington and Port Richmond. The protest will be outside of the Department of Justice in Philadelphia on Wednesday, with protestors meeting at 6th and Chestnut at 4PM.
Then, Giordano circles back to a political discussion, debating whether or not the Democrats are now trying to take credit for ending the COVID pandemic, and predicts what will happen in tomorrow night’s State of the Union address. Then, Giordano takes some callers on both Ukraine and the coming State of the Union. To round things out, producer Dan takes the reigns for Dan Time with Dom, and gets Dom’s thoughts on the debut of the Sixers’ James Harden.
