This is what I intended this platform to be! A place of refuge for a creative to come and detail the journey towards creating their hearts desire! I have to start out saying that I miss the class of 2019 deeply. Their class was my first contract year in education was 2015-2016, but I was introduced to the class of 2018 first! Aaron and Jordan are teens that I have know since they were 14. I'm interested to find out what a teenager in 2020 is up to if they don't take the college route initially! The stigma of Therapy has plagued the African American community for decades. With the passing of the NBA Legend Kobe Bryant, the issue of Mental Health is a prevalent question. Three African American women who are pursuing their doctorate degrees came together to for a podcast called On The Couch. I have to admit, in thinking about my target audience, I believed in my core that a portion of it was the students I teach! They didn't seem to find value in my podcast. Let me say the majority didn't but there are students who listen to the music I do that like the podcast! True story I coach high school basketball and there is an athlete that said he wrapped! I was a skeptic until we were weight training and I heard a track of his! I was jamming so I said he needs to be on the podcast! Welcome ADRIAN ZUNIGA. I ask him what he wants people to learn about him is that he is going to work hard for it! He wants to prove to the haters and people that didn't believe in him that he will eventually get it done! He hails from the historic neighborhood of Acreshomes and began rapping from a suggestion his father made! (6:02)! Adrians goal is to get his music to the top and sites his influences as Slim Thug and X-ro. We talk about his music, the length of his records, his upcoming music and all.
