The F1 giant has teased its plans to enter the world of club manufacture next month, with some exceptionally high-profile hires to its staff already having been confirmed.

What does this mean for consumers, for tour pros, for the marketplace and more? What should we expect from the new McLaren clubs? And more the point, could this herald a wave of other big tech disruptors launching their own golf hardware (the Apple iBall, for example)?
