This week, The Philadelphia Inquirer posted an article telling the story of Dashawn Walker, a Philadelphia teen who was shot 8 times in February, reporting that the teen has now been banned from prom and graduation from his school, Mathematics, Civics and Sciences Charter School. Veronica Joyner, Founder and Chairwoman of the aforementioned schools will join at 12:30PM ET to further elaborate upon her decision. Dom and Dan debate the situation with, Dan stressing the importance of keeping the other students safe.

Deshawn Walker, a Philadelphia teen who was shot 8 times in February learned recently that he would not be allowed to attend, with Joyner explaining that the ultimate priority is not only safety of her students but public safety. Joyner delves deep into the decision by her school, remarking that a student does not get shot multiple times by an individual who hopped out of a vehicle without being the target of said crime. Then, Joyner and Giordano delve into the topic of charter schools, with Joyner suggesting what’s needed by these schools from the City to continue operating at the high level they’ve been performing.
