Dr. Emily Hu is a licensed clinical psychologist with Thrive Psychology Group in Los Angeles who specializes in treating trauma and addictions. Her work encompasses themes of resilience, strength, social support, and finding and unapologetically living one's genuine true self. She is especially passionate about working with BIPOC and LGBTQ+ folx.

In this episode we focus on trauma. We talk about four specific therapeutic modalities used to treat trauma, which includes Cognitive Reprocessing Therapy (CRP), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). We also touch on the connection between trauma and addiction.
