    Publisher's Summary:
Seth Black is Nashville's next-big-thing in country music. Unfortunately, the road to fame is fraught with temptation and danger. At every turn, Seth has to fight off beautiful women, whilst at the same time struggling to make the Black family name something to be proud of again. It would be easy to fall into the same kind of trap that had snared his once famous father, Montgomery Black. Seth, though, wants more from his life than drugs, alcohol and womanizing. While he did inherit his deceased father's great singing voice and stage presence, Seth absolutely refuses to fall into the same rowdy lifestyle that ultimately destroyed his father, and their family. His biggest dream is to have the type of home life he never had when growing up, but the life of a country music star means he'll have to be extra careful.
Suzette Warren is the daughter and step-daughter to one of Hollywood's most famous couples, David and Charity Warren. Suzette feels safe and settled in the quiet, unassuming life she has created for herself. Her ultra-chic art gallery in the small town of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, isn't the art center of the world, but it is her piece of heaven. It isn't until Seth walks through its front door that she realizes there's more to life than the next big art deal. Until meeting Seth, she never knew someone else had the other half of her heart. When Seth hires her to paint his portrait for a new CD cover, the two of them begin to see a real chance at love. Of course, nothing is ever that easy. Someone in Seth's life hates him enough to try and stop him from having his own happy-ever-after. While love is always worth fighting for, Seth and Suzette will have to overcome their own demons before they recognize its true value.

    great love story...
Loved this book. It is a wonderful feeling love story with some danger to it. The author, Regina Puckett did a great job with the plot, I love the music at every chapter ending too. The narrator, George Taylor was really good too, delivering a flawless story with accents, emotions and multiple voices. Very smooth and easy on the ears.

    Worst. Narrator. Ever.
    Genre: Contemporary romance
I picked this up cheap under a search for Christmas. Did I ever waste money on this! The ratings at Goodreads were high, so I wonder if I'd have liked it more in a different format - and free. The story and characters are pretty one dimensional, but what can you expect in an hour? It's a sweet little story, but probably would have been better in first person POV. It was definitely too short for 2 points of view, which this had, jumping from heroine to hero. I think it would be better received in an anthology, but only with a totally different narrator. I don't think I've ever heard worse. This is one that would definitely be better in ebook format!
Finding romance in a comedy of errors
Where does Kitty's Christmas Hope rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
One of the best. Very enjoyable
What other book might you compare Kitty's Christmas Hope to and why?
Empress of Ireland by Jennifer Conner
Which character as performed by Christy Williamson was your favorite?
    Kitty Skinner, the heroine
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
    Yes
    Any additional comments?
Kitty's Christmas Hope reminded me of those great screwball comedies of the 1940's and 50's. The ones where Cary Grant and Roz Russell or Rock Hudson and Doris Day were smitten with each other. But, through bad advice, and choosing to leave their feelings unsaid or worse, not admitted to even themselves, they are ships passing in the night until the end of the story.

When an author writes a story, a little bit of their heart and soul is put on display. Elle Bright is no exception and the characters within Ace of Spades reflect what a beautiful soul she has.
Ace of Spades by Elle Bright outlines the lives of two troubled children who find friendship and strength in one another to get through life and strive for their dreams despite the cruelty of others. As they get to the cusp of adulthood, certain events unfold to tear them apart, just as they begin to realise how deep their feelings for each other goes. Now, several years later, they need to contend with the destructive lifestyle of a rockstar as well as their own heartbreak if they are ever to become a couple.
Elle Bright breathes new life into an often used storyline, giving it's characters depth and tangible emotions. The real strength of this book is in the first half of the story. I loved Elle's introduction to the characters and the history they had together. It allowed me to empathise with them very quickly and drew me into the story completely.
Melody is a quiet, tender child who grows into a beautiful woman who fails to see that she undervalues herself when it comes to relationships. She is perhaps a little naive, due to being so honest and kind hearted herself, that she doesn't see the flaws and secrets others cover up. Melody is very easy to like, and it isn't hard to imagine her being someone you may have encountered in your life.
Jackson is sweet, sensitive, funny, talented... and a complete mess. Elle has very successfully written a book about a realistic man who needs the love of a good woman to overcome his demons. You will fall in love with Jackson despite his choices and maybe a little bit because of them.
Once again, Elle's prose is exquisite. She has such a beautiful way with words that makes it very hard to stop reading even for a second. This makes this book an easy read and one that you can devour quickly.
I, admittedly, felt that there could have been another paragraph inserted closer to the end of the book to really get the tears flowing and to draw out the anguish of disappointment, but that is for purely selfish reasons, and the story doesn't lose anything by it not being there.
Overall the story is enjoyable, mainly due to the characters and the wonderful way the author tells the story.
    [...]
    Very good
I was pleasantly surprised with this book. this is the first book I've read by this author....but it won't be the last. I was completely invested in this book and the characters. a few of the reviews pointed out how they wanted to see what Jackson and Melody were up to those 8 years that they were apart. Personally.....I like the way she left that part of their story out.

id have to say in the top 5 for sure
Have you listened to any of Melissa Barrs other performances before? How does this one compare?
no this is the 1st book I have heard with her as a narrator...I did enjoy her performance

This story was all around enjoyable. I very much enjoyed it
    Worth Fighting for!
Would you consider the audio edition of Fighting for You to be better than the print version?
I would consider them to be about the same. I love both versions. The audiobook is more convenient for today's very busy world.
What other book might you compare Fighting for You to and why?
Loverboy by Trista Jaszczak Both books have very strong female main characters. They are fiercely protective, and will fight for what they believe in.
Which character as performed by Melissa Barr was your favorite?
I was torn between Julia and Indigo. Melissa did an amazing job of putting enough personality and emotion into each character so that they were entirely different. I had no problem with knowing who was talking when.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I did. Within minutes of listening to the book, I was laughing. I giggled throughout the book, and even found myself wanting to cry in parts. When the book ended I had tears in my eyes.

    Pretty Good.
Would you listen to Fighting for You again? Why?
Probably. The narration was really good I enjoyed the smooth flow of the story.
What did you like best about this story?
That Jewelia never gave up. She just plows ahead no matter how unresponsive Indigo could be.
    Which scene was your favorite?
I didn't really have one. I enjoyed the whole book. Sometime she seemed a little immature but if you get past the first chapter trust me it is worth it.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
    No.

    Disappointed - spoiler alert
I purchased this book because of the rave reviews and also because I have read some of her other works but I was sorely disappointed in this one. I found the characters shallow and the plot both weak and wandering all over. The title led me to expect a family saga of sorts but that is not in this story. This silly fantasy goes nowhere. The main character is ignorant and naive, and the book has a (SPOILER ALERT HERE) childish and depressing ending. It felt as if the author couldn't figure out how to continue the improbable plot or end this story so she killed off a main character in a "Love Story" style solution. The secondary plot seemed to be just filler to make the story longer and was even more improbable. I read this in the car in under two hours, was able to skim whole pages and missed nothing. Another reviewer referred to this as a "Mental Twinkie" and I think she was being generous.
Far fetched, but a fun read
As others have mentioned, the author doesn't know beans about Las Vegas or the weather there. It would be a miracle of it snowed there as the coldest temperature ever was recorded in Dec. 2010 as 38Â F. The second coldest temperature was 45Â in 1975. I think it's also a little far fetched that a Sheik could marry an American infidel with no repercussions. Having said that, I enjoyed this clean, light read.
    Not a great read.
I love to read and I've enjoyed Fern Michael's books in the past but I just could not get into this one. I don't mean to spoil the book for anyone else but I do agree with some of the other reviews. This book was childish....not well written and just could not hold my interest....although I really tried to like it.
    HORRIBLE ! BRAIN NUMBING!!!
I simply do not believe the great reviews.

    Book three of Getting Physical
Kendra Khuso isn't looking for long-term. Her traditional Indian family believes it's time she settled down with a parent-approved husband. Instead, she's focused on building her business by day and then enjoying all the nightlife has to offer...until she meets Noah.

    Members Reviews:
Unique, Honest, Slow Burn Read (ignore the cover and the blurb -- a marketing disaster!)
This is a pretty good book with a truly dreadful cover and an even worse blurb. I took a chance on it anyway because I really loved the second book in this series, The Derby Girl, though I hated the first, The Rebound Girl. I bought The Party Girl figuring it was a crapshoot, and I ended up getting lucky. I didn't love this book, but I liked it quite a bit. (Each book stands alone: if you want to learn from my mistakes, you can totally skip the toxic heroine in The Rebound Girl and not miss anything important.)
Kendra is not the sort of heroine I usually connect with. She's an aesthetician at an upscale spa, and her obsession with beauty is anathema to me. (I'm a low maintenance girl. I've never had a manicure. Twice, people have given me gift certificates for a massage, and I let both coupons expire unused. I rarely wear makeup and I get my hair cut two or three times a year.) The only part of her character that I could relate to is Kendra's tendency to organize everything around her. She's the person who dots the i's and crosses the t's at the spa. She's the one her youngest sister comes to when a relationship goes sour. She's the girl her ex comes to when he's been stabbed in a bar fight. Kendra is calm, cool, and totally collected, in any situation.
Noah is a backwoodsman who dropped out of society after his ex-girlfriend cheated him--and a lot of other people--out of a lot of money. He quit his job and moved off the grid, in to a no-frills cabin where he milks his own goat, raises his own chickens, grows his own vegetables, hunts or fishes for his own meat, showers with solar-heated rainwater, and builds his own furniture. The only thing he and Kendra have in common is Lincoln, Kendra's ex who got stabbed in the bar fight. Well, Lincoln and a raging case of Hornypants for one another, that is.
I liked that Kendra and Noah were both strong willed characters who know their own minds and aren't willing to change to please a lover. I liked the honesty and humor of their conversations. I liked that the conflict between them was not one I'd encountered in romance novels before, especially in a contemporary setting, where authentic conflict can be hard to come by.

Clay Cooper is the PRRA's hottest star and wildest bad boy. When Charity goes to talk to him about toning down his ways, she is surprised to find that there is more to the cowboy than meets the eye. Will the oh-so-delicious Clay be the death of rule number seven?
    Members Reviews:
    *Facepalm*!
"Everything inside Charity's head screamed for her to run from Clay. To keep her wits about her, do her job, and stick to her personal code of conduct."
For a person like me, this would be a simple decision. She didn't care about what the little voice in her head was telling her, because there was a louder one coming from down south, Screaming "Rule number seven be darned!"
"Charity could feel her carefully orchestrated world crumbling as she stripped her jeans off, exposing her long legs and a seductive BLACK LACE THONG."?
Okay, from here is where the story lost me. Lets be serious. I personally am a slave to fashion, but if I had to book it out of my house in the middle of the night to rescue some dude, I would dress accordingly.
Fact: women don't wear tiny, black, lace thongs unless they want them seen.
Charity had to have been subconsciously plotting the debunking of this drunkard at some point that night.
    Simply absurd.
On top of that, she willingly threw herself into bed with a guy who would have clearly used her up and tossed her away like trash when he was done. What kind of self respecting woman would risk her livelihood to do that to herself?
Granted, it's a short story, so we have to throw morals, substance, depth, development and commons sense out the window when writing one of these books. And although the story was well written, it still lacked substance.
And it was sure lucky for Charity that Dude was a tad bit more decent then she was. LOL!
I can't like a story, if I can't respect the characters in it. Therefore, this one is not on my list of top reads. Sorry, but no.
    Book for adults only
enjoyed the short read. It was entertaining and I liked the storyline. I will.look for more short stories b th this author.
    Fast Read
Charity an Clay thrown together by friends who knew they were meant for each other. They used the time to find out they were supposed to be together. This is a quick read.
Great book, but left me thinking i didn't download the whole thing
Love the emotional details and sexy out looks. But maybe i miss understood the download, because i finished the book like it was a short story and if that's the case i wont be buying anymore for $9.99 i will just get them on paper back.
    Just OK
This was just OK. I didn't find either of the characters engaging. The romance wasn't that believable. I think the story needed more development, even though it is a novella.

    Absolute worst narration
I listen to audible books daily and the narration and/or recording was just plain awful. It was ver distracting from the story which I think I would have liked if it has been better or I read the book. Most of the time I can overlook the narrator, but not this time. If I read more books in this series I will read the kindle edition
    Cute story
The story was face paced. You become engaged into the characters quickly. Nice plot for a quick novel.
Narrator was good. Recording was subpar. Tin sound to that made her sound like she was in a tunnel. At one point I swear I heard background sounds like someone talking or walking into a room. But other than that the narrator still did a good job. I took a star for that as going from real sound to the book was a bit of an adjustment.
