On the podcast today I want to talk about Microsoft. With so many AI updates for education coming from major AI companies Google, OpenAI and Anthropic, it has led many educators, especially those who rely on Microsoft products, to ask, where is Microsoft in all of this.
Last week I was sent an early preview of a letter written by Brad Smith, Microsoft Vice Chair & President. This is part of their efforts to let the education know their thoughts on AI in education.
I want to do something different today and that is to read the letter out for you. Then at the end I'll offer some thought.
I’m proud to announce a new book for educators called “The Educators’ AI Guide 2026”. It includes contributions from hundreds of teachers and education leaders. Click here to find out more.
