Lee is doing his Edinburgh fringe show and spending a month in a tent, Sammy has just returned from visiting Berlin's top techno sex club.

Gorilla vs Guerilla

Each week, Lee Kyle and Sammy Dobson meet and decide which is the best between things of the same or similar names.

This week: Are gorillas (Massive chimps) better than guerillas (Having a war in a jungle)?

This one was recorded about 2 hours before Lee's first show at this years Edinburgh Festival so is a bit manic, partly because a bird had just shat on his head. He's sleeping in a tent all month so expect this to continue...

Because of time constraints, Sammy had to record the intro and outro herself and, predictably, she comes across as an oddball. She only made 2 glaring errors though, this is episode 84, not 83 and Lee's show is at 9.25 (Stand 4) not 9.35.

She did well though, you know, considering.

Then they put it out as a podcast, it'd be a weird thing to do otherwise.

This week is their second annual music festival special where they decide between 8 bands and things that sound like those bands.

It's a lot of fun if you like it.

It's Lee typing this, I edited this last week and I'm very tired indeed, I can't remember who all the bands are but we definitely did The Smiths/Smiths crisps and Korn, Corn or Quorn.

Ostensibly, Which is the Best podcast is a show which decides between things of the same or similar names (This week: Chanel number 5 (Evocative smelly water) or Channel number 5 (Fuzzy TV channel)) but, in reality, what it really is, is a tragic document of the unravelling mental states of the hosts, Lee Kyle and Sammy Dobson.

It's almost like a competition really, a competition where Sammy takes an impressive lead this week, her story about swimming in a river being a particular highlight.

Near the end, there is a bit where she says something like "I always put something in my mouth before I put it in my body" and neither of them noticed how filthy this sounds. They are very sorry.

It's the question on everyone's mind as we hit the summer holidays.

Luckily, the podcast that was invented to deal with these very issues has stepped in to decide, so join Lee Kyle (If Plato was from Jarrow and markedly less bright) and Sammy Dobson (The Seghill Letitia Dean) as they do just that.

By the way, the offer to pimp Sammy out at the end definitely stands.

Today's episode of Which is the Best podcast is episode 80 and it is an episode that we recorded a year ago but are not UNLEASHING until now (Because we didn't have an episode this week).

It features a special guest in the form of Lord Hal Branson who was a genie in an advert once.

It's not bad you know, he's a lovely boy and says some good stuff in it. We sort of forgot about the episode because it was the first one we ever did with a guest and were a bit concerned about the sound quality (Which is actually totally fine) and also the fact that it felt a bit different to a normal episode.

As a result, we forgot about it til today but, you know what, it's absolutely no worse than a lot of the episodes and comfortably better than the one about Uri Geller.
