On this episode of Neon Galactic, I'm joined by retired philosophy Professor Michael Zimmerman from the University of Colorado at Boulder to interview Whitley Strieber about his new book, "The Fourth Mind."

We explore alien physiology, as revealed in the book and in an apparently leaked description posted anonymously on Reddit, and discuss how those two sources corroborate one another.

We discuss Whitley's theory that human beings once had a number of psychic gifts, including telepathy and levitation, that were lost during the Younger Dryas catastrophe.

According to Whitley's experience, the Grays seem to exist outside of time. We discuss how this seems to have impacted their existence, and what they may need from us to experience novelty in the world.

We explore the notion of conscious electricity, plasmid intelligences, and how the gray alien species may be a technology created to allow this energy to enter the physical realm and engage with humanity.

We also discuss how and why it's pivotal that humans try and retrieve their lost capacities. As the planet grows increasingly disturbed by human activity, Whitley believes it may be only option we have left to help our planet recuperate and keep ourselves alive.
