WHL This Week - Radio Edition, features two key players that will suit up for Team WHL in the upcoming CIBC Canada-Russia Series November 5th, in Kamloops and November 6th in Vancouver.

Vancouver Giants defenseman Bowen Byram will play in his home WHL rink. The projected NHL 1st round selection in 2019 will be our guest. Out east, Brandon Wheat Kings F Stelio Matheos is off to a great start. He'll be a key member of the attack for Team WHL. Will get his thoughts heading into the WHL leg of the event.

The Kelowna Rockets had a busy week. They made a coaching change - bringing in Adam Foote to run the bench. The two-time Stanley Cup winner and Olympic gold medalist will discuss what kind of coach he wants to be as he now leads the Rockets towards hosting the 2020 Memorial Cup presented by KIA.

Finally, five goals and three assists for Calgary Hitmen captain Mark Kastelic has led to him being named the WHL "On The Run" Player of the Week. We'll get his reaction.

WHL This Week - Radio Edition, takes a look at the Team WHL roster for the 2018 CIBC Canada-Russia Series. We'll hear from Moose Jaw Warriors and World Junior Head Coach Tim Hunter on the roster and the opening WHL leg of the event.

WHL Alumni and Hockey Hall of Famer Mark Recchi will be honoured in his hometown of Kamloops by the Blazers this weekend. The 22 year NHL veteran and three-time Stanley Cup winner as a player will talk about coming home for the special ceremony.

Finally, Prince Albert Raiders F Brett Leason is having a breakout season. He's the "WHL On The Run Player of the Week" and will wrap up the show.

The Prince Albert Raiders are 8-1 and ranked #2 in the KIA CHL Top Ten Rankings this week. Veteran F Parker Kelly has been through the whole cycle in Prince Albert, and will kick off the show.

Saskatoon Blades D Dawson Davidson is a dual award winner as the WHL "On The Run" Player of the Week and CHL Player of the Week. He'll discuss his eight point week (1G-7A) and the Blades strong road trip through Alberta.

Finally, the WHL Suits-Up for Don Cherry to Promote Organ Donation - Presented by RE/MAX is back for round two this season. After an overwhelming successful first year of the promotion, The Kidney Foundation of Canada's Cindy Cherry - Don's daughter - will discuss what's new as the campaign continues in all 17 Canadian WHL markets beginning in January.

WHL This Week - Radio Edition, featured two WHL Opening Week award winners. Saskatoon Blades F Kirby Dach opened with a seven point weekend to claim the WHL "On The Run" Player of the Week award. He'll be our guest. Also, Kamloops Blazers G Dylan Ferguson stops by after picking up the Eli Wilson Goaltending WHL Goaltender of the week award after leading his team to a pair of weekend wins over Kelowna while posting a .970 save %. The Vegas Golden Knights signed prospect is looking for a big final season in the WHL.

Also, Spokane Chiefs Head Coach Danny Lambert visits to talk about what should be a strong season in Spokane. Pundits are picking the Chiefs as US Division favorites although they remain without a couple of top players as they hit the second week of the new WHL season.

WHL This Week - Radio Edition, kicks off a brand new season with WHL Commissioner Ron Robison. There's plenty of big events across the WHL this season. We'll discuss some of those events and look at some of the changes as well.

WHL Vice Preisent of Hockey Richard Doerksen is back for his 41st year with the league. There's been some changes to WHL trade regulations, discipline and a new 68 game schedule. Richard will join us to close out the show.

WHL This Week - Radio Edition, focuses on the 100th edition of the Mastercard Memorial Cup underway in Regina, SK. In our final episode of the season, we look back on a championship

coronation in Swift Current as the Broncos captured the Rogers WHL Championship on home ice, defeating the Everett Silvertips in six games. We'll take you back to that special night.

Broncos captain Glenn Gawdin was named the WHL's playoff MVP. The five year Bronco lifted the Ed Chynoweth Cup first on home ice. We will talk to him about the championship run and the Broncos chances at the Mastercard Memorial Cup.

Regina host committee chairman Shaun Semple wraps up the show. The organizing committee has put a lot of work into making the 100th edition of the tournament a special one. He'll walk us through

some of the major events planned throughout the 10 day event.
