Christine and Peter discuss the strangeness of Ravenous and the genius of Robert Carlyle’s performance in that movie and  Garance Millier's performance in Raw.  The subtexts and metaphors of each movie are also dissected.

They discuss how few horror movies do not involve men getting attacked or traumatized. (*edit- Can’t believe we forgot about the Thing (1982) which only has male characters.)

They also discuss how horror movies are too easily dismissed and not taken seriously enough.

Christine and Peter discuss their views on De Palma, Coppola and Antonioni. Peter discusses his problem with Gene Hackman and sound in films these days while Christine thinks Travolta in Blow Out might be his best work. The merits of ambiguity vs a clear indication of a crime are weighed and they provide their interpretations of the ending of The Conversation and whether it works better than the big chase scene in Blow Out. The great Walter Murch is discussed as well as how the piano score was perfect for the Conversation.
