New Carolina Panthers head coach Frank Reich continues to build a strong staff in Carolina, adding former Indianapolis Colts and Detroit Lions head coach Jim Caldwell to the staff as a senior assistant. The Panthers have now added three candidates for their head coaching job Reich, Caldwell, and defensive coordinator Jim Caldwell to what's quickly becoming one of the best staffs in the NFL.

With the addition of Caldwell, is Jim Bob Cooter, Caldwell's OC in Detroit for three seasons, now the favorite for that position?

The Philadelphia Eagles lost both coordinators Jonathan Gannon and Shane Steichen to head coaching jobs in Arizona and Indianapolis, respectively. It's been long rumored that Reich has an interest in Eagles QB coach Brian Johnson and Eagles passing game coordinator Kevin Patullo. Will Reich be able to convince either of them to come to Carolina as opposed to staying in Philadelphia or following Steichen or Johnson to their new stops?

The 33rd Team released a mock draft suggesting that the Panthers should trade away the No. 9 overall pick in the first round for Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields. The trade would allow the Bears to draft Alabama QB Bryce Young at 1 then Ohio State OT Paris Johnson at 9. Julian Council explains why this trade doesn't make any sense for Carolina and why it would just be compounding, not fixing, the mistakes of the past.
