New figures today revealed that 14 out of 15 learner drivers involved in fatal crashes in Ireland last year did not have a fully licensed driver with them. Elsewhere, 1 in 10 Irish motorists have admitted having driven after consuming alcohol in the past 12 months.
These are two of several examples of recklessness on our roads.
But why do people persist on behaving like this, when they know there’s a risk to their lives?
