1 hr 37 min - War of the Worlds (2025)IT’S YOU! IT’S YOU! Yes, indeed. With the release of a new contender for Worst Movie of All Time, Nick, Nico and Adam were forced to declare DEFCON1 and reconvene Why is This a Thing. Ice Cube stars in a screenlife adaptation of H.G. Wells’s War of the Worlds, a film that is so poorly written acted you almost (ALMOST) don’t notice the excessive amount of product placement for Amazon’s drone delivery service. Fear not, we watched and recapped this monstrosity so you don’t have to. Consider this a Podcast of the Worlds to save humanity.

About Why is This a Thing?
From the publisher's feed
Nick, Nico, Zakk and Adam are on a mission to watch the most crazy, bizarre and unapologetically horrible content ever produced. Each week, the four friends check out a movie or TV show you’ve…
probably never heard of and talk about it in intense, thought-provoking detail. Sometimes it’s weird. Sometimes it’s philosophical. But it’s always hilarious as they try to answer the question: “Why is This a Thing?”
