Dr. Erwin Haas, an infectious disease expert, explains why there is so much conflicting guidance from the nation’s health agencies. Haas also discusses the development of vaccines in the past and how they’ve been a work in progress, something the public may not appreciate as they consider the COVID-19 vaccines that have been in public distribution for less than one year. Haas wrote about his personal experience involving the developers of the whooping cough vaccine from days past. He got to interview one of the pioneers and how that discussion is extremely relevant today.
